I have chased Dunhelm and Karcher, both of which organisations seem to be ignoring me, and taken lots of videos of the faulty cat feeder (which of course behaved for the videos… I probably should have waited and got videos of it not working, but the fault is intermittent and I need to be videoing before I start pressing buttons in order to show the issues. Anyway, it's now in a mode where they can read data from it. If they don't come up with a fix then I'll have to find an alternative as I'm not buying more stuff from them that doesn't work.

So apparently Karcher head office have got to find out where my replacement replacement pump is, which doesn't fill me with confidence. No one seems to be able to explain why they haven't been updating me or responding to my requests for updates. And the fact that they have to ask head office for an update but don't just put me through to them makes me think that nothing is being done.

What terrible customer service from both.

Nothing from Karcher, and now Dunhelm have cancelled my curtain order as after 2 months they've realised they haven't got the fabric and can't fulfil it. I've been chasing for over a month and it has taken them this long to actually find out. They've refunded and offered me a discount voucher… but it's no good to me as a. they've already sent the matching blind (so I've asked for a refund for that too) and b. I don't like any of their other fabrics (plus don't trust them and don't want to wait another two months for them to fail to deliver).
So a very annoying day generally.

Dun-useless sound hopeless …
FWIW, I went with Terry’s for all our curtains here and in the last house and they never let me down, if you can bear to start again …

I'm going to go with a local interiors place I think. They're good and reliable - as long as a. I can get my money back from Dunhelm and b. they can get the fabric.

Good shout, at least they will be a known quantity and have more skin in the game as you are a local customer …

Local place sounds good although KK suggested Terrys to me for curtains and they were very fast and pleased with them (also very good price).
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Thanks both. I checked Terry's but they don't have the fabric I want :)
Off out later, so Stinky has had a short walk, I've been to fill up with petrol and pick up some veg, BNS has been cooked in the IP and will be sorted out when we're back. I've tidied the car (it's a bit doggy-smelling so I do need to clean it at some point), had a shower and washed my hair. And emptied/refilled the cat litter tray (someone has decided they CBA to go out for a wee when the weather is horrid), emptied the bins and put a new bin liner in. I just need to clear up Stinky's towels and toys (he's coming to lunch with us). And I've just had to tell him he can't lick his bits and scratch his head at the same time (he tried, and fell over…). Hopefully we'll go for a nice long walk after lunch and then my mum and I will attempt to hang some more pictures and get them off the floor!

Awww … poor Stinky - meany gravity making licking one’s bits and scratching one’s head at the same time be not possible! 😂
Sounds like a productive morning. Hope you get your walk 😊
