Tested positive for Covid - Visible was insisting that I was active/in exertion while lying in bed, so I took my temperature, and as I had a fever, I found my tests. Took less time to get a positive result than it took me to find my phone, get distracted, and set the timer...
Cancelled all but urgent work for the rest of the week. Technically one urgent thing has been cancelled, but as it's public-facing I can't do it without being able to make sense and speak without coughing/sneezing or looking like I'm about to pass out.
Cleaner took the dog for a walk - she didn't want to come into the house and risk transferring germs to other clients, and as it was a nice afternoon that worked out well for all of us. She and Stinky had a lovely hour-long walk - he was good, and she said she couldn't have got lost as he clearly knew where he was going. I'd have paid her anyway as I was the one who cancelled.
Tomorrow's walk has been cancelled. And Sunday's. And the hygienist. Hopefully I'll be better by the time the electricians get here on Monday, but I can keep out of their way - likewise the builders from Tuesday onwards. I'll test again on Monday probably (have 4 more tests).
Radiators and towel rail are in. Plumber is now refilling and pressure-testing the system, so fingers crossed it's all OK. He's off from tomorrow as he's getting married on Saturday and then off on his honeymoon. When he's back he'll service the boiler and do the pipework/radiators on the landing.
I'd planned on doing the CS drop-off and supermarket shop today - clearly not an option for a bit. CS stuff is all in the car though. I don't need any food urgently, although Stinky may need yogurt soon. His rations have been increased today, and he seems very happy about it.2 -
Feel better soon ❤️🩹

On line delivery?? I’ve tried big river morries when I’m a hurry and desperate and been really impressedMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
I think we’re ok for food for a bit. Delivery feels too much like hard work! My biggest concern is Stinky, who will be bored without decent walks and company during the day. I went to bed early last night (only about half an hour), and he was desperate for a wee when I went to let him out!My mum and cousin will come over and walk him tomorrow, and hopefully bring yogurt and bananas for him. I’ve defrosted some BNS, and picked up a whole lot of reduced blueberries the other day, so with that lot I should be ok for his snacks for the week. No point ordering food for me as I’m not really eating (and have plenty of stuff in the freezer anyway). I’m off coffee, so need to make a pot of fennel tea at some point. I also need to open the windows and let some fresh air in.1

That's really kind of you Kaz, but I think we're OK for now. Neighbours have offered to take him, and I can always book the dog walker next week. He's had a short walk today, I've moved downstairs to the sofar, and as it's sunny, I've left the kitchen door open (so obviously he's staying inside!).1

Replacement moggie feeder has arrived and been set up. Need to remember to put the old one out for collection with the bins on Monday.
Have done a load of washing, but don't have the energy to hang it out... so it may have to sit there until tomorrow.
Lots of cardboard from the towel rail and lights, so need to try to get another layer put on the newly-cleared bit of the veg plot (gardener put down one layer, but clearly hasn't quite understood the concept as there are lots of gaps!). So if it's nice tomorrow morning, I'll do that, hand the washing out, and get more logs in.
Have one work call that I need to do at 5pm, but otherwise have been lying on the sofa.4 -
Managed the work call yesterday, feeding a neighbours' cats, and a bath before bed. Felt grim this morning and other than letting the dog out, feeding the menagerie, and throwing the ball for the dog a couple of times did very little until around lunchtime when I managed to put the washing out as well as feed the dog. After which I also managed to get dressed and decamp to the sofa.
Stinky was walked by my mum and cousin, and apparently was a very good boy. And everyone now knows I have covid as they met lots of people who recognised Stinky and wanted to know why he was out without me. There are several other people in this road who also have it.
My mum brought yogurt and bananas for Stinky's kongs and fruit for me. Unfortunately everything currently tastes odd, and citrus is unpleasant. But I need to try to eat it. I also have lemons, so can make lemon and honey tomorrow as well as fennel tea.
Washing didn't dry on the line so will try again tomorrow - need to do another load of laundry so it's clean and dry before all next week's workmen arrive. And I remembered to feed the neighbours cats. One of whom isn't sure I should be allowed in his house unsupervised, while the other doesn't care as long as I produce food. It's only a short walk down the road, feeding and clearing the litter tray, but it completely wiped me out. Only one day left to do.
Dog lick mats and kongs have been done, as those are a priority - particularly if he's getting less attention.
Not looking forward to next week as with all the trades here I won't be able to do much in the way of resting. I'll test again on Monday, in the hope that it's clear. I don't need to be in any of the places they'll be working, but I do need to talk through what needs to be done.5 -
