Hi everyone,
I have received a reply from the CAA for my claim, they are refunding my package holiday deposit, but they are saying they won't refund the £180 we paid for extra legroom seats!!
Has anyone else found this? Any advice would be really appreciated!0 -

Extras like that dont come under ATOL protection, you will have to attempt chargebacks/Section 75 claims with your bank instead.

If I hadn't rebooked, they would be liable for the consequential losses of my cancelled accommodation costs and return flight (both booked separately from the Monarch flights)... far more than the additional cost of an alternative outbound flight0

Still your decision to rebook flights, you can try your luck with the Ombudsman but I feel you wont have any joy.0 -
Still not received my claim form. In what order are they sending the forms out? Was due to fly next week.0

I got mine last week and I was due to fly on the 28th October. No idea, I would hazard a guess flight-only bookings are being dealt with last.

No they wouldn't. Those elements were still available as booked. Consequential loss would have been an insurance claim, presuming you bought a policy that covered consequential loss.0 -

We have had the same experience with Teletext. New flights cost £300 more, but thought under ATOL we were covered for replacement flights. Any advice please?0
