January was a good month forTBC15 up 2.7% with my modest 6.7% Gold holding doing well.
This was an interesting month for Digger UKs shinney stash. With a bit of skin in the game I watch the gold price with great interest. When the spot price hit £4012 on Thursday, I did a quick calculation and Digger was now looking at £417,889 up 25% on the month. I started to order the bunting and banners to celebrate Diggers triple bagger.
Then Friday arrived the PM fix was down to £3625 no triple bagger and a paltry 13% for the month

Stock markets did well, but the dollar fell to $1.37 against the pound.

Tiny decrease for the month. So what went wrong this time.
Fundsmith was doing nicely and then dropped 5% over the last half of the month
Finsbury down nearly 6% over the month, Smithson down 4%, Chrysalis down 12%
At the other end, SEC (UK small caps) was up 10% and my EM tracker up 3.5%
A thought on Finsbury which is down around 11% since I bought it (less if I add in the dividends). It seems to be getting cheaper and cheaper, while the companies in it are making more and more profit. Forward PE's mostly range between 13 and 20 for the stocks in the fund. A future rebalance will probably put more into it.

Not a bad month for TBC15 up 3% overall. Blue Whale doing most of the heavy lifting up 9% and help compensating for AXA Framlington Global Technologys poor performance of -1% and Fundsmiths -2%.
Gold had a healthy 7% rise bringing Digger UK into the triple bagger level with a toatal return of 304%, well done. I suspect Monday may show some greater returns.
On the subject of milestones FinellahVLS80 (Vanguard Life Strategy 80%) has now doubled in value up 101%.

I'm inclined to delay my post until Smithson begins trading again on Monday (2nd). My platform is currently not able to value it properly and so the numbers are considerably out, possibly by as much as 20%.
