Not a bad month for TBC15 most investments finishing up 2 and a bit %. Smithson showing a lot of volatility up 2.5% down -4% ending in negative territory -0.75% and the discount growing to 11%.

Prism Global - £170,702

Just a small gain this month, mostly driven by Fundsmith. Took the opportunity to reduce Fundsmith by a fair chunk to buy into a couple of investment trusts on discounts. Details in the other thread. Now over 40% UK with the US reduced to 35%.

I have always had a reasonable chunk in the UK since we started this nearly 5 years ago but it has got bigger over the years. A far bit of the UK allocation is to mid and small caps, both of which have done well enough historically. Lots of low valuations of fund holdings (and a few higher ones) plus some decent trust discounts.

I don't think that UK companies are going to grow as quickly as US ones but I just don't want to be too heavy on the US.

The pound has strengthened against the dollar, at least since I last looked before my summer holiday. I continue to do absolutely nothing to manage the portfolio in any way.

 Interestingly the price of gold only fell 10 pence an once over the month.
