    Morning folks

Love to all those struggling atm x

(Well love to everyone else too but you know what I mean!)

OH in my bad books this morning. Was woken by him phoning me last night saying that his key didn't work and he couldn't get in. By the time I'd put my dressing gown on, he'd managed to open the door.

Then, to make matters worse, it basically turned out that he'd probably not put the key all the way in, but had applied that much force to the key that he's actually BENT IT and cracked the metal?!

Had to get up at 5.30am to make sure dinner prepped and in the S.C. Grrrrr.

Must be calm though. Whenever I get cross with OH I always remember something that someone said on the OS forum (I think it was JackieO). They said that their late hubby used to get on their nerves too, and they'd do anything to have him back to get on their nerves again. :(

    Today's mission:
    • Gym first thing - done
    • Pay balance off cc. (Used to book a holiday)
    • Shower in work - done
    • Meals from plan - done
    • Cook healthy flapjacks (I'm trying to design a recipe with perfect macro proportions!) - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • No drinkies (have not drunk anything for over a week *polishes halo*). Do not want to get excited too soon (esp with a holiday coming up!) but feel like this app might be working. - done
    • Chilled night with crochet and the Victorian Kitchen Garden (am seriously addicted to this. I was Harry was my granddad) - done
Will add more if I think of it

    Have a good one all

  • Hi everyone

Big hugs to you all :grouphug:

I've just enjoyed a morning cuppa and I was so pleased I got the milk passed OH - he is lactose intolerant so a bit limited to the kind he can have. A ldi have started doing their own version but it is a UHT one - that's usually a no-no but I don't think he's noticed this is UHT and he's drunk the lot. Mwahahahahaha.... 25p per litre cheaper than everywhere else

We both got paid yesterday so I'm going to get another cuppa while I YNAB

I've also just spent a pretty penny on new barn door hardware for our conservatory. It'll be a good thing though as it will keep the house much warmer - at the min we just have a curtain between kitchen and conservatory - not good for winter!!!

We're going to (attempt to!) tile the kitchen this weekend (yes, I know, it's been 5 months since the kitchen was put in :rotfl:)...

    Can't believe it's 10.40 already!!

    What else...
Might start my new crochet project tonight - Purps has inspired me with all her knitting talk :)

    Catch up soon everyone!

Morning everyone, two things from yesterday, I made £117 selling my old horsey stuff at the car boot sale last night and instead of going to the takeaway on the way home I used some leftover lamb stew as a small dinner (and froze the rest to be used for lunch at some point in the future). I was going out with my pony today (honestly horses aren't just for rich people!!) but my back is in spasm :-( so I am going to have a tidy up and list some more stuff on few selling sites. Forgot to add that I went and banked £80 and kept the balance as emergency cash.
Hope everyone has a decent day :-D
  • Welcome Baggybreeches to a fab thread

Great to hear from you CCL sorry to hear you have been struggling aswell. If you need the new windows and doors then money has to be spent and at least u have been mse about it so don't feel guilty. I hated paying out the money I did for the decorating but it really needed doing and I tried to do it as mse as possible which made me feel better. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Well missing kitty now home refuses to come out of DD bedroom. They say that a person's smell helps them, probably why she has set up camp in the bottom of DD wardrobe. Have put a litter tray in the room, she has her food in there and a lot of fuss. I'm slowly coaxing her out of the wardrobe more and she ate her food near the door yesterday but refused to leave the room. This is going to be a long hard journey I think.

Was up and out early this morning to do various bits-got a parcel posted with more Wii games, cat litter bought.
Cat cleaning all done and banking all checked.
Going to start doing some cleaning In a minute, house looks a right state with me sorting out stuff aswell.
Getting another bag of things together for the charity shop
It is cold here today but determined to keep the heating off.
Have a good day everyone x

  • Hi,

It has been a while as I have been busy.

Last weekend was a family wedding, I had purchased outfit etc in Jan sales and train tickets in advance so all in all it wasn't an expensive weekend surprisingly. We were so tired when we came back, DD had a cold all week and dash to the drs as has chest infection.

Started my new job, which is going ok, finding my feet and I have found the first month anywhere is hard going but then it all clicks into place.

As I haven't worked a whole month and had 3 weeks off so the budget is tight this month but not impossible.

Written to tax credits to confirm earnings, as they have changed with the new job and I don't think they are correct, I can't do the changes on line.

Done online shopping for grocery and topped up from Lidl as needed.
  • Really happy your job is going well FVD long may it continue. :)

    List for today:
Do something with 30 or so apples that are left that were gifted to me (few more in fruit bowl and then chop and freeze/stew the rest I think)
    Check banking
    Reconcile, just for points cc
Both smalls to dancing, pay next months subs from dancing budget pot
    Meals from stores
    Quick vacuum round
Some sort of excerise for free - hopefully outside as it's good for my MH
Try out new needle and see if I can do the cowl on my jumper, sew on buttons I bought yesterday
Order some wool for my next project, found a site with it half price :D

Right, quick cuppa then I must get on. Purps.

Managed everything on my list apart from the apples. Must do tomorrow. Also got a small shop using MOC :T listed 21 things on fleabay. Had two queries for bin for 1 item. Added it on and it sold  need to empty it now as they want to collect tomorrow  £80 :D

Hopefully get a few more things listed whilst I'm in the flow and then some knitting. Good day all round :)
  • So I'm back on it .... had a few weeks off but back to that debt busting

Today i noticed I had a BT offer on my card so shifted to this to save interest payments .. yay

I've also been busy listing loads of stuff on eBay .. my mam has given me all sorts so should keep me busy the next few days .. yay.

I also agreed to do a few extra cover shifts at work next month and hopefully should be around a full weeks extra pay.

Oh and managed my first PAD (well since I went AWOL) ... yay

By gosh it's good to be back

    Morning all :)
Grey, dull morning here, but at least it isn't raining, at the moment at least!
Been awol as we spent Friday night and all day yesterday with DD1 and her family, as it was OH's birthday and she wanted to give her Dad a treat :) He had a lovely time, driving through a particularly wet bit of Wales in one of son in law's tatty old sports cars, among other things :) Ate too much nice food /birthday cake so need to get back to our healthy eating plan!

    So, today's plans:
Start a shopping list, may go later today
Unload camper van and put stuff away. It was dark and raining when we got back here last night, and I didn't want to be carrying bedding etc down a muddy bank in the dark
HM meals - thinking of doing macaroni and cauliflower cheese for dinner tonight :)
List some more things on ebay
    Check for surveys

Not a very ambitious list, but I am sure I will add to it as the day goes on!

Morning all :hello: had a bit of a lie in this morning, it was much needed :T glad you found the DVD useful 1LL I only knew about it from one of the diaries I follow on here;)
That's a bargain bed DNMS I use that methodology for all expensive things ;)

    Thing for today:
Sock chickpeas to make hummus tomorrow
Unpack item of cloathes for fleabayer to collect
Put some stuff from spare room in loft
Sort out some empty boxes to put stuff from drawers in
Empty bed side tables as they're on fleabay too :o
Some form of exercise even if it's a walk
Check on fleabay items, maybe list a few more if I've find some stuff on my way through
Something from planner for tea, must get out of freezer
Make some soup for DH lunches and DD lunch box
Some knitting tonight, new circular needle arrived, did a few rounds, but realised I dropped a stitch on round 1 and then went out of sync, so the pattern looks odd. I'm just taking it as practise :rotfl:
    Sew on my buttons.

Right think that's about it. Enjoy your days peeps.
