Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Ds3 sounds like my son.......I have other parents telling me what he's doing yet he never tells me anything til last minute and he's only 11 so I'm sure it's only going to get worse lol xxThe joys of UCAS :rotfl:
UCAS is a nightmare . We went through all the agony with DS1 and then he dropped out after two terms due to depression and anxiety.
We've suggested DS3 asks his tutor for a week's deferment for the UCAS form, as it's too important to rush. He's completed a lot of it and his personal statement is very good, but we want to perfect it with him. DS3 thinks that it will be ok to ask for an extra week.
Why does everything happen at once .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Good idea to give money instead of a pricey present.
As for DS3 .....
I have a bright red blouse to brighten up the jacket and trousersSeasidegal58 wrote: »Hope you’ve decided on your wedding outfit Hairy. Did all the men in the family fit into their suits ok?:D
All the men fitted into their suits and shirts, thank goodness .
I'm going to wear my black jacket and trousers with a red blouse, as I'm too tubby for the dress (fits everywhere but my tummy ). My silver sparkly shrug/cardigan thing may work with these for the evening, so I'll try that tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to:
Wash the men's shirts and DH is going to iron them (he's much better at ironing shirts than I am).
Wash leisure clothes that various people want to pack.
Donate to the backpacking fund and compose a nice message to go with.
Write in the wedding card.
Organise ties.
Make sandwiches for the journey.
Get out suitcases.
Pack.
Do everything else that I normally do in a day.
DH wants to polish everyone's shoes which is fine by me. DH needs a tie because all of his seem to be black or grey . DS2 also needs a tie as his seems to have vanished .
DS1 has a 'prepare for work' session tomorrow that he is very worried about. I can't think of anyone less prepared for work than DS1, due to his depression and anxiety, but he will lose his ESA if he doesn't attend..
So, tomorrow is going to be busy. I may need cider by the end of it :eek:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks Chrystal, on days like this I reckon I need to be Wonder Woman
. Not sure I'd look so good in the costume though :rotfl:.

He is in the prepare for work one day group beanie. Is that WRAG? It wasn't as bad as he thought. They just asked for more info about his conditions and then said they'd see him again in the spring. DS1 very relieved.
Hope you're right about UCAS beanie.
I've done 8,232 steps without leaving the house yet . Just taking a breather while dinner is in the oven.
DH has been out three times to buy ties, buy petrol and take DS2 to the chemist . He's also been trying to get work done!
I've done most things on the list Lucky and sneaked in the shower before the rush tonight, you have to grab your chances in this house .
I'm looking forward to sitting down in the car tomorrow :rotfl:.
Have a good Thursday everyone. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I bet your son's tie is in one of the black bags!
I think you are going to need that sit in the car as a calm down after your busy week.
Good to see your husband is sharing the tasks. Personally I love the smell of shoe polish and I actually like polishing shoes too.
I know it is an American tradition however I have decided that I am very thankful for the MSE community, particularly here on theDebt Free Diaries, who have welcomed and encouraged me since i started to post regularly. He'll, I might even start a diary!
Have a safe journey up to a very breezy Midlands. Bring the thermals
Take care honey
