I had a good day at school today, although the teacher asked the TA to shoot her after trying to teach the children about time :rotfl:. It was a beautiful sunny spring day again so it was lovely working outside :D.

This afternoon I need to clean (muck) out DS3's room before he comes home. I know he could do it (hollow laugh) but I also know that he won't because he's too lazy . So I'm going to empty his bin, clear up a bit and put clean sheets on his bed, so that's it's pleasant for him to come home to.

The sunshine really makes all the difference doesn't it?

He sounds a lot like my boy. The things we do for the kids eh?

I'm laughing at the teacher's comment as well :rotfl: What a lovely Mum you are :) there's nothing quite like getting into a freshly made bed although if your DS is anything like mine he won't even notice what you've done - but you know, and that's the main thing. ;) xx
  • Well I'm probably a doormat mum :o but I want it to be nice for him as I haven't seen him for ten weeks.

I spent a full week cleaning his room when he first went to uni and I was convinced he wouldn't notice when he got back, but he did notice and was really pleased :D.

It's a tiny box room and he had tons of stuff, plus he would never allow us in there being ultra private, so it hadn't had a proper clean for ages  because of course he was too lazy to do it himself .

It only took me about an hour today as he hadn't managed to make much mess during the month he was in it over Christmas :rotfl:.

I think my DS was pretty unusual as his room was immaculate when he lived at home. I even caught him once polishing his curtain pole :rotfl:

Safe travels this weekend collecting DS3 , am sure it's this weekend ? ,

Things seem to be going well with work and college , glad the assignment is underway.

DS2 is having an interesting adventure and he will be back soon as well. Hope DS1 does t have to wait long for a diagnosis.

Had your Halifax cheque turned up yet? I have probably missed your post on it if you have already said ?

This weekend will be hard for you , Mother's Day , but I am sure you will find a way to think of your mum that will being you some comfort.

    Thinking of you.

Ha Ha!! Teacher comment was funny!
Remember the same feeling when trying to teach the children to say when their birthday was in French. They were 12 years old and about half of them didn't know their actual birthday! I was literally banging my head off the wall trying to get them to 'guess' their birthdays!

    ANyway safe travels!
