That's very true INOD :). And it is lovely to have him home. Even if he's asleep in his room I know he's just a few feet away :).

  • Hope all Mummies (whether of children, pets, plants or a teddy collection), had a lovely day yesterday.
I was taken out for lunch, and DGS (aged 4) decided for dessert he wanted custard and ice-cream. So he mixed them together and ate the lot !!!
  • That's an interesting mixture Elizabeth :rotfl: . You must have enjoyed seeing them.

Hi HHD :) Lovely that your DS was home with you for Mother's Day. Hope you had a nice day and that you managed to carve out some quiet time to dedicate to your Mum. xx

Thank you TF2 :). I felt sad about my mum but it was lovely to have DS3 home for Mother's Day, so a mixed day. DS1 gave me the Marie Kondo book and DS3 gave me chocolates. Also DS3 spent the afternoon and evening watching films with us, which was lovely :).

I'm glad March is over though as my birthday and Mother's Day were both hard.

I feel worn out today :(. I tried to have a nap yesterday and my sister rang my mobile after I'd just fallen asleep. After talking to her I couldn't go back to sleep . Then I tried to go to bed early but DS1 and DS3 couldn't shut the kitchen window so woke us up at 11.30pm . It took me ages to get back to sleep after that .

So tonight I'm determined to go to bed at 9am. I felt exhausted at school this morning and although I still enjoyed it I don't think I would have made it through the afternoon . So I'm skipping Pilates again tonight in favour of rest and recovery.

I managed to persuade DH to email our accountants and tell them about my job this afternoon, this is only my sixth week (rolls eyes). He also asked some more questions about de-registering for VAT, although he seems in two minds about it now :(.

I'm looking forward to having two weeks holiday at the end of this week, although I'm sure I'll miss school, but I want to blitz the house and do lots of de-cluttering as it's a total tip. Plus I can catch up on my sleep! It's my mum's interment in the holidays though so I'm not looking forward to that (it will be nearly nine months since she died and stepdad has arranged the interment for now :().

    PPI UPDATE
My letter from the H@lifax finally came :T :T :T. Two weeks after DH's letter and one week after DH's cheque arrived. Presumably my cheque will arrive in a week's time!

Better late than never I suppose! I bet if I hadn't rung them last Monday it still wouldn't be here .
