My old electric fan oven just slid in and out when it was changed, straightforward plug in job rather than a complicated need an electrician thing. Our old one stopped working a few weeks before we moved, complete with a half cooked chicken in to roast. OH did click and collect on a new (cheapest!) one of the same size, and had in in and fitted within half an hour. I then finished roasting the chicken...
Thanks for the info Redo . You can tell I've never bought an oven before :rotfl:. This one was here when we moved in fifteen years ago. I had no idea you could buy an oven that quickly, that's very impressive :T. Where did you buy it from? Our hob is set into the worktop so I think it might need to be fitted by someone other than us. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally . Have you looked at mini ovens? They're around the size of a microwave and sit on the counter and cook and grill like a regular oven. They can be as little as £50. We use ours much more than the main oven and they're handy for a Sunday roast when you need extra space!0

Morning HHD Hope your throat is better today. Well done on finishing the assignment. They seem to come thick and fast, I'm sure you only just sent one in? Have you many more to do? Fingers crossed your little charges are feeling a bit happier today and you don't have to sort out too many squabbles. xx
Thanks TF2 . It's actually been a whole month since my last assignment. I get one a month and I think there's about seven altogether. . It's actually been a whole month since my last assignment. I get one a month and I think there's about seven altogether.

The shops usually offer a fitting service so you wouldn't need to wait for workmen.
The combi is handy for extra space!
It might not be cheaper if your main oven is gas. But probably would if it's electric
Well done on the assignment :T
I've had this sore throat for 10 days now, it's just not shifting Hope yours clears up soon! Hope yours clears up soon!
Thanks Jwil . It would be useful not to have to wait for workmen! Our main oven is an electric fan one with a gas hob. I think the hob could be tricky to fit as it's set into the worktop. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally . I had a restless night due to my sore throat and aches and pains . But when I got up my sore throat had turned to a husky voice and I'm very deaf in one ear . But when I got up my sore throat had turned to a husky voice and I'm very deaf in one ear . .
I was wondering how I was going to get my class in order if I couldn't yell at them :rotfl: but actually they were much better behaved today. I did my volunteering, my lunchtime job and watched the TA for half an hour.
I am glad to be at home though now as I do feel tired and cotton woolly. I said I was going to do nothing this afternoon, but the kitchen bins are literally overflowing and I need to ring the tax credits and tell them about the PPI I got from my B@rclaycard. But apart from that I'm going to do nothing apart from shower and cook dinner!
I've found out when I get paid and it's on my birthday  so that will be a nice birthday present :T.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've rung tax credits about my PPI refund and they said they only take into account the interest I got paid minus £300 :T, so £480 will get added to my income figure for this year. I have no idea how they calculate it and I don't reallly care, as long as I've told them everything because I don't want to get into trouble!
I've also emptied the kitchen bins :T which is a relief as they've needed doing for days and were literally overflowing .
Now I'm going to rest until shower and cooking time because I feel tired, headachey, my head is full of cotton wool and I have a horrible taste in my mouth. I think I feel slightly less deaf in my right ear, but there is a faint rushing noise in that ear which I don't like . .
Anyway I'll just keep taking the eccinacea and my mulitvitamins and hope it gets better soon. I'm glad I managed to go to work and volunteering, as someone else was away today and it would have been utter chaos if I'd been away too .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Ok, the gas hob is probably a completely separate installation to the electric fan oven. Is the oven bit housed in its own cupboard/unit? Should be able to slide the oven bit out, unplug it and then plug a new one in, and slide it all back if that is the case. The hardest bit was not falling about laughing while we tried to hump the old oven out, with toddlers and the inevitable animals underfoot and one of us holding it up while the other plugged/unplugged.
Currys, click and collect. We went for the cheapest fan oven they had that was the same size as the old one.
This one is £139 for click and collect, or you can have it delivered and installed for £44.
If I was you I would get DH to have a look and see if it does slide out and is plugged in rather than hard wired. If it is hard wired then you will need someone to fit it i think. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I forgot to say that DS2 managed to catch his bus this morning and has safely reached his hostel in North Macedonia :T. But poor DH has been awake at 5.30am two mornings in a row now .
My spends today have been 80p on coke for me and £1 on some chocolate for DH. He messaged me and said get me some choice on the way home. I puzzled over it for a while and then decided he meant chocolate :rotfl:.
Yesterday I got a 100 point YG survey and the day before I got two 50 point ones :T. I also earnt 20p on OP which finally got me over the £10 mark, and I earnt £2.10 on PA. So a good couple of days for surveys :T. Today, however, I've only earnt 10p from OP so not quite so good! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks Redo . Yes the hob probably is separate and would need a gas engineer to fit maybe. DH seems to think that the oven may slide out because he's remembered when it was refitted when we had a new kitchen about eight years ago and had our existing oven put into the new kitchen. .
