  • If you can survive feeling unwell, whingy children and looming deadlines - you are obviously more strong-minded than you give yourself credit for !

As for the pin number, (...erm..harrumph), hasn't everyone done something similar ? I've pointed the phone at the tv before now and wondered why it wouldn't change channel !

Good luck finishing your assignment. You can be sure there will be lots not doing these as conscientiously as you.

Thank you Elizabeth :). Sheer adrenaline keeps me going some days!

Have you thought about a hallogen oven for DS3?
I hardly ever use my main oven now.

Also heard that holgen ovens are great - from my MIL.

Kids are tired and grumpy and need a holiday - just like the staff!

Thanks both of you :). I've never even heard of a halogen oven  so that's something I must look into.

The kids are certainly grumpy and I'm tired :rotfl:. I wonder if whingy kids turn into whingy adults .

I've finished my assignment, checked it for typos and emailed it to my tutor :T :j :T. It's 7,332 words so I don't envy her ploughing through that lot :rotfl: . What a relief to get it finished :T.

Tonight I still need to shower, wash my hair, empty the clothes horses, hang up some towels I washed and cook dinner.

We had our Mr T delivery this afternoon but DH unpacked it and put it away luckily as I was busy with my assignment.

I've still got a sore throat and feel tired, but tomorrow afternoon I plan to do abolutely nothing :D.

I've heard good things about halogen ovens too - not much to buy and cheap to run too, compared to running a full electric oven for a chip butty.

My old electric fan oven just slid in and out when it was changed, straightforward plug in job rather than a complicated need an electrician thing. Our old one stopped working a few weeks before we moved, complete with a half cooked chicken in to roast. OH did click and collect on a new (cheapest!) one of the same size, and had in in and fitted within half an hour. I then finished roasting the chicken...

Morning HHD :) Hope your throat is better today. Well done on finishing the assignment. They seem to come thick and fast, I'm sure you only just sent one in? Have you many more to do?

Fingers crossed your little charges are feeling a bit happier today and you don't have to sort out too many squabbles. xx

Thanks Jwil :). It sounds like it would do for DS3 anyway as he's the one who's always cooking! The rest of us have perfected hob cooking now :rotfl:.

But it could be useful at Christmas too when the oven is never big enough, or when we're doing a roast dinner and can't fit everything in the oven.

The workmen we use to do jobs are very popular and busy, so not always available at short notice.

The shops usually offer a fitting service so you wouldn't need to wait for workmen.

The combi is handy for extra space!
I think a combi microwave could be useful anyone as DS3 is always putting the oven on to cook one pasty etc, so it would probably be cheaper if he could cook it in the comi microwave :).

It might not be cheaper if your main oven is gas. But probably would if it's electric

I've had this sore throat for 10 days now, it's just not shifting :( Hope yours clears up soon!
