I only had about six hours sleep last night, as despite feeling tired and a bit unwell, I couldn't get to sleep for ages . I had a lot on my mine, not bad stuff but just an overactive mind. I think I may be drinking too many cokes in the afternoon
so I need to stop having caffeine after 4pm and see if that helps.
However despite feeling tired and a bit rough this morning I enjoyed my tutorial which was on safeguarding and I enjoyed my job afterwards.
I think I must have an affinity for chaos :rotfl: because even when I'm tired and a bit unwell I love working with the children. They can be maddening, unpredicable, whingy and emotional, but they're also hilarious, sweet, interesting and innocent
.
I managed to buy a birthday card, wedding card and a book of first class stamps before I went in to my tutorial :T.
It's my niece's wedding this weekend and most of the family are attending. We won't be there as it's in Scotland and we couldn't afford to go. Ironically we could afford to go now since having the PPI, but we had to rsvp in December and couldn't afford to go at that time. Not all the family are going, some due to work commitments and some more distant members weren't invited (it's a very small wedding).
In a way I'm not sorry I'm missing it because the family has become so complicated at the moment and seeing people en masse means you don't get to talk to anyone properly anyway and it can feel a bit overwhelming if you're feeling emotional anyway
. Plus it would cost hundreds of pounds and I'd rather keep the money in our emergency fund for real emergencies and peace of mind (something we haven't had for a long long time). Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hope cutting back on the cokes makes a difference and also you sleep better tonight. At least its the weekend :j:j Well done on the assignment and great that you get such speedy feedback too.0

Re your gas hob. If it has a "bayonet fitting" which is the more modern style, it is a simple unplug & re-plug job - no escaping gas. If your last one was fitted within the last 28 years at least (my sister's is 40 years old) then it will be a bayonet fitting - so easy peasy.0

. I don't think anything could keep me awake tonight. It is good to get such quick feedback

. It's probably newer than 28 years, but no idea how old as it was here when we moved in.Congratulations on your positive feedback.

In PPI news RBS Adv@nta have rejected our complaint. They said the PPI was not missold as they said DH was employed when he took out the policy
.
We're not accepting this decision so on Tuesday we're going to escalate it to the ombudsman, along with our packaged bank accounts.
That was the only one we had proof of as well .
