  • I've had a busy afternoon. DH and I did the online Mr T order which came to around £67 and is coming tomorrow afternoon. It was £2 for delivery.

After that my dad rang so I was on the phone for an hour talking to him and stepmum. Then I updated my cv to add my new job and course. Then I uploaded my cv and a profile pic to my course online learner portfolio :T.

Now I just need to shower, wash my hair, hang up the wet laundry and cook dinner! Then I can relax (or collapse) in front of the telly :).

DH is on the plane for the first leg of his journey. He has a stopover as he couldn't fly directly from Bristol unfortunately. He arrives in Greece at 1am which is a very inconvenient time . I usually like to stay awake to make sure his plane lands safely and he gets to his hostel safely, but as I have work tomorrow I may have to hand that baton over to DH (working from home is easier when you're tired than working with children, is my excuse :o)

Thanks Lucky :). I've since realised that it's 1am Greek time and they're two hours ahead of us, so DS2 will land at 11pm . So he should get to his hostel around 12.00 hopefully. Once I know he's safely arrived at his hostel I'll be able to relax and sleep :o. He's on the final leg of his journey now :).

  • DS2 arrived safely in Athens last night :T and I slept quite well :).

I woke up to heavy rain  so I'm hoping it will improve before I go to work.

Have a good Wednesday everyone :).

  • Good that the time-difference was such that you heard about DS's safe arrival before it was the middle of the night for you. Glad to hear you slept well:j. If you'd gone to bed not knowing he'd arrived you'd have probably had a fitful sleep.

It rained all night here, really heavily and beating on the front windows. Stopped now but is still grey and dull. Just like my mood, sadly:(. I hope the rain stops for your little charges to have an outdoor playtime. It must make your job so much easier

I hope everyone on here has a more enjoyable day than the one I've got ahead of me, not one I've planned from choice either:(
  • Thanks Carboot :). You're right, I slept much better knowing that DS2 had arrived safely :).

Our weather has improved a bit, it's stopped raining and is a bit brighter, so I'm hoping it stays dry!

I'm sorry you've got an unpleasant day ahead of you :(. I hope it's not as bad as you think.

We had a dry lunchtime so that was good :T. The sun has even come out since I got home. I found three children someone to play with and sorted out several disputes :D.

My DBS certificate arrived today which is very quick, it only took a week and last time it took six weeks. Maybe it's because it's the second one I've applied for.

I reckon I've earnt about £85.60 so far, but I don't know how much they'll take off for my pension and I might be on emergency tax this month, so I don't know how much I'll actually get paid. But it will be more than I normally get anyway :T.

Our food shop should arrive this afternoon. It will be much less tiring than actually going to the supermarket. Although I think I'd still like to go in the holidays to give me something to do and because it's nice to look around sometimes.

  • I've just read Martin's email and ordered 120 hayfever tablets for £2.79 :money:. I normally pay £2.80 for 30 in Mr T so that's a lot cheaper. I know they're cheaper in Poundstretcher than Mr T but I never seem to go near a Poundstretcher.

  • I've got my volunteering in the classroom tomorrow morning and my college tutor is coming for an hour to observe and assess me  .

After that I'll do my paid job. It's also World Book Day so I need to wear my Mr Bump costume :rotfl:.

So it's all systems go tomorrow. I think I'll be glad when it's over and Friday will be a nice normal day!
