  • I hope you're having a good day, HH. The sun is shining here and the daffodils in our garden are a lot further on than they were this time last year. I expect the daffodils are in full bloom in your area but they are always late here.

The visit to stay with my friend next week has been postponed for reasons which I've written about in my own diary. I'm quite relieved actually as I just don't feel like going away with a clear mind at the moment. We'll reschedule for the summer and at least I'll have something to look forward to and get more organised for.

I managed to find some clothes to take this time without having to raid the charity shops. I could barely spare the time to go and visit them anyway. I'd already freshened everything up ready to pack before we agreed to postponing the visit. My main concern was some sort of coat as I only have one smart coat and it's that lovely black one with the fur collar that I bought for £14 in a charity shop for my Brother's funeral last March. It is a lovely coat but too thick and warm for the current milder weather. Problem over now though as I can just rely on my usual wardrobe when I go anywhere locally here. I don't dress to impress:rotfl:. So long as whatever I wear is clean and tidy I'm happy.

Thanks Carboot :). You're right that our daffodils are flowering in their droves here and making a lovely display. There should be lovely spring flowers at the NT place this afternoon :).

Sorry your visit has been postponed but as you say it will give you longer to prepare. You won't need a coat if you go in the summer, except possibly a rain coat if you're unlucky with the weather . Clean and tidy is always good :).

You'll be at home to supervise the electrical works now :T.

  • My tutorial was interesting this morning as it was on child development. I've brought up three children and read various books on child raising that were popular at the time, but I've never studied it for a course so I'm enjoying learning about it :). The tutor said my assignment was lovely :A :). She's booked a school visit to assess me already   .

My tutorial finished half an hour early but DH's meeting over ran, so we probably won't get out before 2pm. His meetings always over run, it's because he likes talking ;).

I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely Spring sunshine (assuming that you've all got Spring sunshine) :).

  • Sorry I haven't been posting on your diary much recently, HH:o. RL has been a bit hectic and not in a nice way:(

Just wanted to send my warm congratulations on your excellently-received assignment and the impending school visit by your tutor:beer:. Great signs for your eventual success in completing the course and finding a really super TA job. All very well deserved as you've taken it all really seriously and put the hours in:A

I hope you have a lovely Saturday Saunter and an enjoyable (in the circumstances:eek:) meet-up with Stepdad. It's really misty here at the moment but nice weather is forecast for later:j. I hope the sun will shine on whatever you and your family are doing this weekend:beer:. Now, gatta dash as the table Top Sale beckons.
  • Enjoy your Saturday saunter xx
