I reasoned that I could stock up on bargain food when it's on offer, and I think they have been worth their weight in gold :T. We buy six four pint cartons of skimmed milk and one six pint carton of semi skimmed. We store them all the fridge and they usually last a week (just about ). We lay four cartons on their side on one shelf and the rest fit in the door.
The cartons sound like a very good idea. I always buy the bottles but they aren't as easy to store as cartons. It's no use me getting too much at a time as we don't use much milk and it would go off before it's used. I usually have a frozen bottle or two in the freezer but they're usually smallish ones as the big ones take forever to thaw out:eek:. I've used them up now and when I restock next week I'll freeze a couple more. They're always handy for if we can't get out for any reason. I like my coffee black although I hardly ever have one but can't drink tea without milk and I'm a tea addict:o0 -

Glad the volunteering went well.
I am sure that you were not dopey at all
Blimey, the course seems to have come round quick.
Sure it will be great
Thanks Beanie. I definitely was dopey but luckily I was doing cutting and sticking so it didn't really matter :rotfl:

Does it mean you won't be able to do your volunteering on a Friday now?. I only go to the training centre once a month so I can still do most Fridays.
It will be interesting to start the course :j but hopefully I'll feel less dopey tomorrow .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Does anyone have any experience of receiving tax rebates? When we googled it it appears to take between six to eight weeks  which sounds an awfully long time. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

. I will apply for the PPI although I don't feel very hopeful about it now.
DH insists upon the business being VAT registered even though we are well under the threshold because he thinks it impresses customers. I've argued with him about this many times but he is very obstinate about it and so I've given up rather than have constant rows about it.
Impresses 'em? I'd have thought it would scare a fair few away, thinking they're going to be paying VAT where in fact they're not!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
