  • Brilliant news on the course HHOD. Schools are always crying out for good TA's and if they've already seen what you can do with the volunteering they have clearly seen you are worth your weight in gold :D. It can be so hard to get into schools so well done.

Hope DS1's appointment went well and brilliant news on DS3 coming home xx

Thats great news on the training! Shows that hard work pays off - I hope it literally will!
    15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

    Progress not Perfection
  • If it's GCSE level it will be a doddle for you, HH:j. As it's only part time and I doubt there'll be all that much homework or coursework to do at home maybe you'll still be able to spend some time on your business and make some money whilst you are studying. As you don't want a full time job now maybe you could find some sort of part time work the odd evening or day each week to bring in a bit of extra cash until you are available for a TA job. Just a few ideas.

How lovely that DS is coming home this weekend, you must be over the moon:dance:. What a shame about DS2's PPI but at least it isn't his only income source. Fingers crossed that DS1 has better news.

Enjoy your coffee with Stepdad, you've certainly earned it this week:coffee:.

    Thanks Carboot :).

KMy Saturday ramble was a bit soggy. It's been chucking it down with sideways rain most of today .

I met stepdad for coffee and we chatted for an hour and a half. After that we went our separate ways.

I bought DH a Christmas card (as I can't afford a present for him), got bananas, satsumas and reduced mince pies in Mr T, bought something I needed in Sup3rdrug and then got the bus home. I popped into the pet shop for sawdust on the way home.

    TOTAL SPENDS
    £2.40 bus
    £1 Sup3rdrug
    £3.27 food
    £3 Xmas card for DH
    £2.40 sawdust x 2
    TOTAL = £12.07

That sounds quite a spendy day now I add it up (.

Town was full of crowds buying tons of shopping, despite the torrential rain . So I was quite glad to come home.

DS3 is safely on the coach on his way home :T :T :D.

Once I dry off I need to clean out the furry moron, put the dishwasher on, put DS3's new pillow in a pillowcase for his bed, and I really should vacuum the downstairs. But I'll see how much of that I can face doing.

I haven't moved off the sofa since I got home. I'm suffering from low mood :(. Probably a rebound from yesterday's excitement about the course.

I'm pleased DS3 is on his way home, but he's coming home to a cold, damp house.

I think getting cold and wet in town, and seeing other people spending lots of money on Christmas stuff has made me feel fed up. I keep thinking I have no mum and no money :(.

I'm back to moaning again :o. I'd better get off the sofa and clean out the furry moron. Maybe action will lift my mood and make me feel more positive.

Best win so far - holiday to Florida
  • Well I managed to drag myself off the sofa in the end.

    CHORES DONE:
    Cleaned out the furry moron,
Emptied all the bins in the house
Put a pillowcase on DS3's new pillow and put it on his bed
Put a new battery in the kitchen clock
Got rid of some packaging from armchair (the DC are the only ones who can afford to order Xmas presents at the moment).

I feel a bit better now I've done some jobs and DS3 is over halfway home.

    Thanks Lucky :).

I think it's the lack of money buy presents that's really getting me down at the moment. I want to get organised and get them all bought and posted, but money keeps failing to arrive. Even my YG money won't come and I cashed out over two weeks ago :(.
