It's a part time NVQ course which will help me become a qualified teaching assistant. The school asked me if I was going to do a course and I said I'd like to do one, but wanted their advice. So the teacher suggested the training provider they use and they happened to be holding an enrolment morning today! So I went along and enrolled :T.
It took all morning and I had to do an IT, English and maths assessment   plus fill in a hundred forms!
Apparently the hardest thing is getting a school placement, but as I've already been volunteering for a year they were willing to support me. The teacher said you're here anyway so you may as well benefit.
Best of all the course is free as I'm on a low income. I'm really pleased and excited :T :T :j :j :T :j :T :j. The course starts in January.
So pleased for you. Just perfect. 2019 will be a turnaround year for you. Congratulations :T:TIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi HHD
I love reading someone's diary when they have good news. It is serendipity!
I know 2018 has been one of your most difficult years. It will get more bearable although there will be those "tender" areas.
Regarding the difficulty of getting payment for work done - I rent out my old house and I got a phone call at 6.30pm from the tenant telling me the shower wouldn't turn off. I phoned the plumber and he will go out there later. He did say it was because I always pay their invoices immediately!
You actually sound quite organised for Christmas. I imagine you can't wait to have all your little ones (yes, I know they aren't little) under your roof again.
I'm flying back on Monday so I am in house tidy mode. Why does it make me feel so much better that I have cleaned up, changed bed etc etc? Perhaps I will feel more Christmassy when I get back.
Take care honey, such great news about the course
