  • We went to another NT Christmas Fair this morning which was very busy but had a good atmosphere. We got in free with our membership, bought nothing and then drank coffee from our travel mugs in the gardens. We're getting good at this money saving lark :). It's been a lovely sunny day today.

We had to spend £5.50 on some anaesthetic throat spray on the way home though because DS1 has caught my cold. We didn't get the clothes horse in the end because DH realised that after paying council tax we'll have zero in our account, so I thought I'd better hang onto my PA money a bit longer :(. Perhaps someone will pay us next week.

Since we got back we've been working on my business idea, and when we've finished I really need to get some laundry in the machine. It's been a busy day today, but busy is good.

I'm really glad you had a good day. Always special when it doesn't cost much:beer:

I'm sorry you won't be getting your clothes horse yet but at least the weather is good enough to dry washing outside at the moment. Let's hope someone pays you very soon:beer:

OH has spent ages getting organised for his trip delivering my friend's brother home. Anyone would think he was planning a round-the-world trip the amount of assembling his clothes and other stuff he's been doing:eek:. He presented me with a pile of clothes he needed washing just as the sun started to go down. I don't mind doing them but it means the tumbler will be needed to dry the thick winter parka. He would have been happy to just wear his summer-weight anorak but he'll be coming home by train and has 3 long wait for train changes and it might well be cold hanging around in the open air especially in the evening. I've insisted he takes it as he can always carry it if he doesn't need it. Knowing him he'll take it off, forget about it and leave it somewhere. It's happened before:(. He hasn't worn that parka for years but dug it out from under a pile of stored clothes at the bottom of his wardrobe. It was my idea to freshen it up though, it looked really creased and dusty:eek:. Needs to be in a different load to the trousers and other stuff he needed washing as it's so big.

Oh boy, am I looking forward to my couple of days and one night all alone at home:j:j:j.

Hoping for a payment to wing its way to you.

    Debt Free (again) 25/072025
  • Glad you had a lovely day out today. I'd love to visit NT places regularly but as I don't drive it's very awkward to get to them. I'd like to do a coach trip holiday visiting some of our stately homes. Ah well - another wish for the bucket list.....:)

Hope a payment wings your way next week.

The free day out sounds fab :)

Can't believe it's 4 months since you lost your mum. The first year is the worst - you never ever stop missing them but it does get easier with time xx

The weather here has been beautiful too.

Thinking of all you lovely people who have lost people way way too soon.

I was saying on my own thread how sad I am that my dad will miss his DGS's graduation.
    It is as it is.
