I've always considered things like the flu jab & smear tests etc as free insurance & if someone offers insurance which is truly free then it makes sense to take it & I will continue to do that.

Although the cynic in me wonders just how much of the protection comes from having the jab & how much from all the "stuff" we've caught over the years. Definitely won't stop me having the jab though!

It is worth having a flu jab because people die of it every year. Even for £9.99 it's worth it. I was ill for six weeks when I caught it last year . I don't have time for that . I always have any other free tests on offer, like smear tests and mammograms, because as you say Badmemory it's like free insurance :).

I feel a bit better now so I've cleaned out the furry moron. I also sorted out DS2's rubbish and found £1.30 :money:. Our neighbour's ginger cat kept me company the whole time and nearly came indoors with me :D. That's enough chores for today so I'm back to resting now.

Thanks Beanie :). I've still got my cold and it's been a tiring week. I need to rest for a bit and then I'll be fine.

Hi, seems criminal you have to pay £9.99 for your flu jab. However worth having I say. I had a sore arm for and felt groggy for a day or so after mine but fine then so don’t worry if you do feel a bit off it.

It's the four month anniversary of my mum dying today, which makes me feel sad. I think about her every day, but it's another sad landmark :(.
