Good luck with the job applications. Applications are a bit like frogs you sometimes have to kiss a few to find a prince;)
I did wonder why your DS didn't pay board when he could afford lots of trips so well done to your DH for asking and for DS paying his way. I always paid something to my mum even when I only had a £400/year grant and worked while studying full time.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
& I hadent realised that DS2 worked.
So I think he has a great deal.
Do you have a spare room?
DS2 earns money from his room, he's self employed but doing well. This is how he pays for his trips abroad, but he has plenty left over.
We don't have a spare room unfortunately, even the dining room has been turned into a bedroom. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I’m always weirded by the word ‘mufti’. It’s not a word we use where I live :rotfl:. Xx
Thanks Lucky. I don't know why it's called mufti :rotfl:.

Thanks Xspender. It's because his mental illness meant we were treading on eggshells for a while and didn't like to ask, but he is much better now so we felt the relationship could survive us asking.

Well done on all your achievements this week, don't feel guilty about asking DS2 to contribute,my girls always paid me money each month,it was tailored to how many hours they worked because sometimes they weren't at college or uni but they still paid, then when they got jobs it went up accordingly,it was cheaper than them moving out and paying rent and bills somewhere
DD2 is at home still and is not paying me every month while she is is at uni because her course is so full on she hasn't got time to work, she does buy and cook all her own food though, she is intending to give me a small amount of money this year but her budget is tight, she is paying for us both to go to Bristol for the weekend in December so I don't have to pay for any of thatOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940 -

Good luck with the job applications
Thanks Munchin. I'll be disappointed if I don't get either of them. But if I don't then I'll keep trying.
