Pleased I think because I want the money, but still petrified _pale__pale_
You'll be fine:). However experienced in the workplace anyone is it's always a bit scary starting a new job so You're not the only one to feel that way. Your volunteering is a job anyway and you have no problems coping with that one:T. Keeping my fingers crossed for you getting one of them:beer:0 -

Hairy I am so pleased for you doing your application forms , I will keep my fingers crossed for you .
I have just renewed by utility bill and I pay £51 a month for a 2 bedroom flat. That's for gas and electric. I am paying £6 a month more than last time I changed tariffs. The amount you pay seems ludicrously high.

Thank you:T. It's a win-win situation really. My friend's brother who is desperate to get home will be happy. He won't do any serious harm to himself or anyone else by driving himself (and I think DVLA will definitely take away his licence once his GP gets involved). My friend will have a load taken off her mind and will be physically present at his home to see that he's OK and to organise some help for him. After her recent bereavement she says she'll enjoy a change of scene and something to do to help take her mind off recent sad events. OH will enjoy the driving (especially as it isn't his own petrol he'll be using:rotfl:). He loves long journeys and is looking forward to motorways and so on again. It's all twisty country roads round here, we both get fed up of that sometimes. They can be far more challenging and dangerous in lots of ways than fast, busy roads:eek:. He's also looking forward to the train journey home, he used to be a real train buff but hasn't travelled on one for ages. The biggest winner though will be me:j. Warm, quiet and stress-free house, my Christmas has come early:rotfl:0 -
It sounds perfect for everyone Carboot. How unusual of your OH to like long journeys :rotfl: I find them tedious myself and want to get places instantly.
.
I'm up early again for volunteering and have the two job applications to post. Spotted a small error on one last night  so DH is printing it again. Lucky I gave them a final check over at bed time, phew!
I'll need to be in recovery this afternoon.
In other good news DH asked DS2 to give us some money each month towards bills and he said yes :T. DH asked for £200 per month and DS2 said yes straight away. I feel relieved but also guilty. I feel like we shouldn't be asking our children for money. Am I being silly? Anyway we will take it because we're so desperate, but I feel bad about it

I think £200 is perfectly acceptable as rent for a month. You seem to provide everything for your DS so that's cheap compared to if they were going it alone.
You can always readjust when things become a little easier financially.
