Lovely day for walking here, hope you have an enjoyable walk.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Just had a surprise really heavy hailstorm which lasted about 5 minutes:eek:. I'd just ventured down the long garden to pick a few apples for some crumbles and got caught in it:mad:. Came rushing back (those hailstones really hurt:eek:) and just as suddenly as it started it stopped. Sky is very black now though, I think the rain might be heading back:(
I hope everyone who is doing anything outdoors this afternoon is faring better0 -
We had snow here yesterday (being one of the North East areas Carboot saw on the news!!). It didn’t really lie as we’d had heavy rain just beforehand.
Glad you got through the day of the wedding, and hope you’ve had a nice day today XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

We've also succumbed to the winter duvet (a 9), but I toss & turn so much during the night that DH frequently wakes up with it barely covering him. Anyone any ideas how this can be rectified ?
DD2 off to an escape room & meal out - we are watching Cbeebies with grandson. He has a cold and has been here since 11am, so we thought a bit of TV would be harmless.
We had his favourite for lunch -'basagna' !!
It's been full of sun here too. I can attest that seen through play glasses with red lenses, the effect of sunlight is dramatic, startlingly red and utterly gorgeous.0 -
I put our winter duvet on too this weekend. At least the wedding is over now and you've saved a fortune by not attending. Your walk by the sea sounded so lovely.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I hope the work on your business goes well and it's soon up and running for you.
Thinking about being cold in the night, do you have any hot water bottles? They're a cheap and easy heating solution:j. I still use one I've had for donkey's years, and just hope the rubber isn't on the verge of perishing and decides to spring a leak during the night:eek:.
It rained all day yesterday and into the night and there was a biting wind. It was dark and gloomy, I think we had the lights on most of the day. Today is brighter but showers are forecast sometime during the day and it's still very cold. Definitely not a day for venturing far outdoors and gardening is out of the question as everywhere is really squelchy after the rain. I'm sure I can find something useful to do inside, the work never seems to end:(
Enjoy your meal with stepdad. It sounds as if he's struggling at the moment as I know you are. Sending hugs.
Thanks Carboot. We had a lovely walk. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
