I had a really nice time with my aunt and uncle. We met in Debenhams restaurant (helping to prop it up!). I got a single on the bus so it only cost £1.50. DH had to go in later so I came back with him and saved 70p in bus money
. I was going to just buy one cup of tea, but aunt and uncle insisted on buying me a cup of tea and a scone. I enjoyed chatting to them for over two hours. And only spent £1.50 all day
. DH spent £2.80 on parking but he had to go into town anyway so that's a business expense.

Thanks Beanie

I've just had some free exercise by going for a walk in the park. It's a bit chilly out but you soon warm up if you walk fast. The autumn leaves looked lovely as the sun was dodging in and out of the clouds. I think I need to get out my cashmere gloves though as my hands felt cold. I've done 9,989 steps, 37 floors and 58 active minutes, mostly in the park.
I've washed the towels and hung them on the clothes horse. They won't dry by the morning but hopefully I can put them outside tomorrow. I'm not touching the tumbler again!
I've realised that I can't ring NPow3r yet as we're late with a couple of weekly payments. We've sent out a few small invoices so hopefully they'll pay soon and then we can catch up with our payments. We have a bigger invoice outstanding which will pay the car tax and another important bill, hopefully by the end of October.
I've really taken my eye off the finances ball since my mum died and have been buying coffees out, etc, to cheer myself up. So I need to stop doing this and get it all back in control. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well done with the exercise. The park walk sounds lovely.
The cashmere fingerless gloves I want are out of stock. Hopefully they will be in soon.
I don't know where you go for coffee but I use Ner0 and if you take your own cup A) it lasts longer as it stays hotter and they can't take it away leaving you with pressure to buy another.you get 2 stamps so a free coffee every 4.5 coffees

Some lovely Scottish Johnstones of Elgin ones on the TK Max website DIA, mine are just lovely quality compared to the other cashmere things I own.
Not that I was looking....
I think emotional spending is a recurring theme on quite a few diaries at the moment HHOD. I don't think there is an easy answer sadly. Maybe take a flask on your park walks? Sunshine and coffee, and fresh air.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

You'll be very pleased with the gloves when they arrive. I think I need mine indoors as my hands feel cold! I refuse to put the heating on :A.
I usually go to Costalot. They do have a loyalty card but I'm not sure how many coffees I need to buy before I benefit. I should ask them.

Thanks Beanie. I need to be kind to myself on a budget when bills are going unpaid.

My park walks are usually free (dire cafe ) but it's when I go into town or by the sea that temptation arises. But I'm thinking milky coffee in my travel cup sounds a good solution.
I love my cashmere gloves. I wish I could ask my mum where she bought them. Probably in Scotland. Maybe my sister would know. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I take my travel cup on most of my work trips now, and a flask to refill it from for on the way back. Keeps me away from temptation in service stations.
My sister has Reynaulds so I think she would be grateful for some gloves for Christmas. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++
