I'm at the opposite side of the spectrum - desperate for my 31 year old DD to move out :rotfl:
Perhaps you could suggest a mature studentship for her SA!:D,
But dear Hairy - I do hope everything went well today and you're not overly in pieces after leaving him.
And I do think your idea for a new business is wonderful. :j Even if proceeds are low initially, as time goes on it could really develop into a fruitful venture and up your income considerably.

Thank you @jwil @Beanie @Elizabeth @Nicnak @SA @SSG for your words of encouragement. That's a lovely poem Elizabeth, you are very clever and it expresses how we feel at parting with our children
.
We're all at BIL's house tonight and then dropping off DS3 at uni at 8am tomorrow! (his moving in slot is at 8-10am!). So we have to get up at 5.30am.
I know I'm going to be upset after we leave him there. I hope he'll be happy there. We're probably going to see DH's ill brother, or his sister tomorrow, if DH gets his finger out and messages them!
I should go to sleep as I have to get up in six hours, but I feel wide awake! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

It's nice that you have relatives living reasonably near to DS's Univ:j. At least he'll have people he knows in reachable distance should he ever need help which, hopefully, he won't. Reassuring for you with living so far away.
I hope your BIL is making good progress with his medical treatment:beer:.0 -
Hairy you will be halfway through your slot by now at Uni. I hope it all goes well for DS3 today and that you have all the stuff required.
The poem Elizabeth has done is lovely. It will be a wrench leaving him there but at least he has family nearby should he need them.
As for the business venture it sounds a great idea and will give you a sense of doing something for yourself with the idea of extra income . It's a win win one from me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
