    DS2 and DS3A are going to Iceland at the weekend, and I feel a little anxious about it. I'm pleased they're going because they'll enjoy it, but I'll be glad when they get back safely.

    DS2 tried to put Icelandic kroners on his P0st 0ffice travel money card today, but apparently you can't. So they will take some kroners in cash and just have pounds on the money card. They can draw money from atms with it I think. They're going to London by coach and then will stay the night at DH's brother's house, and he will drop them at the airport in the morning.

    I'm quite jealous as I'd love to go to Iceland (or anywhere abroad really). But I am going to stay with my dad and stepmum in Bedfordshire for a week in June and then I'm going to Scotland for a week in July to stay with my sister, so I do have some things to look forward to :).

    Good to have family in different parts of the country to stay with. I lived in Bedfordshire until I was 10, very fond childhood memories of it.

    Yes it's beautiful up there, really stunning, but gets very cold in the winter and they get a lot of snow. My sister likes The Black Isle because it's a bit warmer. You're nearer the border aren't you Beanie?

    I'm lucky to have relatives to visit as I can't afford holidays. I have a relative in Wales too, all the good holiday places :).
