  • There are now 4 posters reporting lost diaries, maybe more when their owners next log on and report. Its the people who log on, see its gone and simply give up that I worry about.
  • Its such a shame, we can't let the spammers win

I agree, if our diaries get deleted then we should start new ones or the spammers are winning. The spammers may have won a few battles, but we will win this war :T.

  • I've made myself a cigar with some cloud bread, and am busy doing 'we will fight them in the forums, we will fight them in the diaries, and we will never, ever surrender' much to the bemusement of the boys.

but yes, 100% with you HHoD

ETA Uniscots97 and jemreading - both have started new diaries

I’m glad to still see you here Hairy! I’m sure that diaries must be able to be retrieved. You’ve only got to watch the average crime programme to see that deleted emails etc can be reloaded.

You remind me of Churchill in Darkest Hour redo!:rotfl:

I'm sure it's technically possible to restore diaries SSG but for some reason they don't seem to want to do it .

I'm here for now anyway, SSG

  • This is (was?) the profile for the MSE Forum Manager MSE Matt which is where I would start an appeal for re-in-statement if it was me. The board guides are sympathetic volunteers who have their hands tied.

When files get accidentally deleted where I work IT have the back ups and you can usually get your file back to where it was last time they did a back up.

We won't let the spammers win (shakes fist).
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
