  • Just did an inventory of every item of food I have in the house, that's in the fridge, freezers, cupboards etc. I was amazed to discover that apart from fresh foods like milk, bread, fruit and vegetables that I'll need to buy as and when we need them I have everything I need to provide tasty, nourishing and varied meals for the 2 of us (and OH loves his food and plenty of it:eek:) until the end of FEBRUARY!!!!:j:j:j

That was a very pleasant surprise and means I can save quite a lot in February by using stocks up:dance:. Sadly, I'll need to start all over again in March:( but at least I'll have a good amount of available cash in February for my planned trips to visit my brother.

Torrential rain and strong winds here today too. I'm glad I don't have to go out:j. Good luck to all those who do need to venture into the elements:beer:

The weather was awful here this morning HHOD , but now it is sunny and calm , still light as well.

I wrote on my thread last night that you are welcome to stay if you are ever up North , but deleted it as it sounded as though I invite perfect virtual strangers round lol. The way is was meant to say was if you ever venture North it would be lovely to see you. The same if I was ever your way I would love to sit in your coffee shop for a chat. Hope that sounds better .

Hope the shop comes in under budget . Has your son was it DS2 mentioned going back to the US again ? I only ask as my son is talking about it again.

Don't we worry about our children? You both worry about your children going across continents & I worry about mine not even going to a town 3 miles away or for that matter even a shop half a mile away. I worry about not being able to be 'taxi of mum' & not being able to drive. He has a license but I can't let him drive (although I have him insured to) as he will no longer look out of the side windows & sometimes not even straight ahead.

No problem Cumbria :rotfl: I would love to meet you in a coffee shop if I headed your way and vice versa. It just goes to show that although we've never met, we don't feel like strangers :).

DS2 said to DH the other day that he'd like to visit some other English speaking countries and he's going to work hard to earn more money. He hasn't given a date yet, so hopefully he won't go yet awhile.

Which part of America does your son want to go to?

He wants to go and be a cowboy ! He can’t ride a horse so no idea where he means . He would be better going to Australia again, we have loads of relatives there . I don’t worry when he goes there.

I haven't stopped worrying since the day they were born and I don't suppose I ever will Badmemory :o.

My DS only left the house to walk to the local shops for three years (apart from one family wedding) until he suddenly announced he was gping to America .

You sound very worried about your DS.
