It's so good to hear from you, HH, and especially that you have a new job.
Hopefully it's not too far away.
It'll be a bit scary at first, as new jobs tend to be, but I'm sure you'll soon settle in and get to know both staff and children.
Also good to hear you can continue with your course. They must be accustomed to people's circumstances changing part-way through.
We went to my elder daughter for Xmas - we were determined to go come hell or high water !!! The 7yr old grandson proved himself ready to take on several new games -we do like playing games.4 -
Thank goodness you’re all ok. Congratulations on the new job 🥳 Well done to DH for the weight loss. Sorry to hear it’s been tough for you recently but things are finally looking up for the new year.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thanks Elizabeth
. I do feel a bit nervous now about the job. I was over the moon at first and I'm still very pleased about it, but now the starting date is getting closer I feel a bit nervous. I've left school where I was happy but I only had 7.5 paid hours a week so I had to get more hours. The job is a twenty minute drive away but DH will drop me off and collect me. If I'm happy there I'd like to stay for several years and have some financial security.
I'm glad you were able to spend Christmas with your daughter and I bet you had a lovely time.

Sooooo pleased to hear about the new job, HHoD. You're right that the financial security of 30 hrs a week is exactly what you need for some stability. Best wishes for your start date & well done.

Fantastic news re the job. I think that is my favourite age to work with….never a dull moment although it can be hard work. I remember the beginning of term - if one cried for their parents it could be contagious 😳😳😂😂…..I’ve even considered volunteering at my old nursery but the covid figures keep putting me off.
WOW I’m pleased to hear dh has lost some weight….it must be better for his health and easier on your mind. As for frugal Christmas presents…..people remember who they were with and what they did…..it sounds as if you had a lovely time 👍 with special people - that’s what is important.
As for feeling guilty for not posting on here……DON’T👍😂😏 it’s lovely to hear from you and I use it as a place to vent some feelings and chat to online friends, but real life has to take precedence- it sounds as if you’ve had a busy time 👍👍
Well done in getting a job - I knew your hard work would pay off for you 👏👏👏👏
If you feel up to it please keep us posted about your new job when you can. 👍👍January spends - £587.586
