HairyHandofDartmoor said:DH suggested going to the tip, so we took the five roots, a broken printer, a broken garden fork and our bag of garden waste (they're still not collecting it here). It was a very hot activity but good to get rid of all that rubbish.
On Wednesday it was again to hot for DH to concentrate at lunchtime so we dropped off fourteen bags of books and an unwanted chair at the charity shop.
We have a Choisya ternata and it's very pretty. My only regret is that, having learned it as a new word, I can't play it in Scrabble !
I sometimes wonder if all the stuff you've charity-shopped/binned/recycled etc over the past couple of years suddenly came back home - you'd wonder how you ever had space for it. Clearing out is a pain but ultimately very satisfying.8 -
The walk and time out sounds lovely. Nice to see people again and be sociable and safe.
