Thanks everyone 🙂.
We had a busy day yesterday. We went to a NT place that's over an hour's drive away but is a really good one. We made it in time to go in during our slot, had our picnic and had a nice relaxing time wandering around looking at the lovely gardens 🌷🏵🌼🌺🌻⚘🌲🌳. We didn't buy any food or drink (apart from a flapjack each as we were a bit short of picnic ingredients).
On the way home we called in to my mum's old house because I wanted to pick up a few last items. We were there for much longer than I expected, about an hour and a half. Then we needed to buy some bits in the supermarket, so by the time we got home and cooked we didn't eat eat dinner until 9pm and felt shattered!
After yesterday's tiring day I could have done with a quiet day at home, but I'd arranged to go for a walk with a friend in the morning. We spent about two hours walking in the park and having a good catch up. I hadn't seen her properly since before lockdown so I really enjoyed it 🙂. When I got home I realised I'd done over 10,000 steps, so for someone who felt tired already I walked a long way 🤣. I've done 15,139 steps now and 81 active minutes. It spotted with rain when we were heading home from the walk and chucked it down after I got home 🌧💧☔, so we timed it very well.
If it's dry tomorrow I'm going to give my poor feet a rest and do some gardening, which is hard on the back but okay on the feet. I want to repot a palm 🌴 with fresh compost and then dig up a floppy shrub from the front garden and replace it with a dwarf rhododendron 🏵.
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I had a frustrating day today. 😐. I felt in the mood for gardening and had two jobs in mind, but it was raining heavily all morning and by the time it stopped the garden was soaked and I knew it wouldn't be dry in time for me to get our there 🌧💧☔. So I had to change my plans. I tidied mine and DH's bedroom which was badly in need of it, did some tidying and cleaning in DS1's room with his help and did some hoovering. I also did two loads of washing. It all needed doing but it wasn't what I was in the mood for doing. DH and I managed coffee in the garden at about 5.30pm and the sun actually appeared.
We've got a huge pile for the charity shop and the tip now. We have five root stumps, an old printer and a broken fork for the tip and a chair, ten bags of books and bin liner full of assorted carp from DS1's room to drop off. I'm looking forward to getting rid of it all and having more space.
The weather should be hot and sunny for the next three days anyway. We're meeting aunt and uncle at our nearest NT place tomorrow, but I'm determined to do gardening at the weekend. I'm really conscious that when I'm at school I don't really have time to do very much, so there are lots of jobs I want to get done this summer holiday.
I hope everyone is having a good Thursday 🙂 .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

You have visited one of my most favourite NT places this week,I went there for one of my 50th birthday days out, I loved the house and garden but my favourite bit is the walled kitchen garden 😍😍
Boo to filling out the tax credits application,I used to hate doing mine,it used to take ages and then I would keep re reading it in case I had done something wrong 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
I've bought a NT membership for DD2 for her birthday, and tbh, I thought it would be more expensive. And only £10 so DGS can go as well.
Your garden sounds as if you are really getting it sorted, so satisfying when jobs are done. It'll be lovely when the rubbish has gone too !5 -
Although it wasn't what you wanted to do, your house will be looking so much better now that you have decluttered so many items. I would have probably written the day off and sat down!September 2017 Debt = £25330

Hi HHD
It's frustrating when you can't get on and do what you want isn't it, but at least you didn't just sit there doing nothing and from the sounds of it had a very productive day cleaning and clearing. The weather is lovely today, so hopefully you'll be able to get in the garden and do the jobs you want
xx
