  • I will make it simple for everyone so @Delichon, I won't post on any more diaries but my own.
Please, this is getting out of hand now!  There's no need why you should stop posting wherever you want.  the last thing I'd ever want is to curb anyone's freedom to say what they want wherever they want.  I was unhappy and hurt because I felt I'd been wrongly accused of doing something that caused upset and distress to others.   I think we're all feeling over-sensitive and emotional in these unprecedented times.

I need to say though that if your current post is because your other post  was reported it definitely wasn't me who reported it.  I can honestly say that.  I've had messages from someone who felt really upset on my behalf and felt the need to report the relevant posts.  I only found out about it after it had been done otherwise I would have probably asked her not to do it.  I'm touched by her good and kind intentions but I wouldn't want anyone to have their freedom of speech curbed in any way.

In these difficult times it's more important than ever to be kind to one another.  Please, let's draw a line under all this now.

If my post has been reported I have had no correspondence to say so. I am not emotional or anxious , I am the opposite,. I stand by what I say , I will be as I said keeping to my own diary.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

  • I've been trying to stay neutral and I'm sorry if I haven't suceeded. You are all lovely people.

  • At the risk of sounding like one of those past-it stars who keep on making 'farewell' performances I want to add one final thing.

If any of you do receive any communication from mods or whoever about a post you made that has been reported it definitely was NOT reported by me.  I may not have liked the comments made to me and about me but I respect everyone's right to say what they think.  A very kind and supportive fellow MSEer took up the cudgels on my behalf, totally unknown to me.  She messaged me to say that she had reported some posts and although I am very touched by her support I wouldn't have taken that action myself..  I just need to set the record straight before I go.   I would hate to leave on what people would think of as an even sourer note.

My day didn't turn out the way I expected today. It turns out that I'm only needed to do teaching assistant cover two days a week instead of four days a week. I may have misunderstood what was said on the phone or the situation may have changed suddenly. I have mixed feelings about it. I'll get less money, but I'll have more time at home and less exposure to infection. I think it's the constant changes to my routine that are making me feel unsettled.

I got up at 6.30am this morning and went to an 8am staff meeting about safety and new procedures, etc. Then I came home. Then I went out again to do my lunchtime job. It was nice to be working with two colleagues again at lunchtime instead of being on my own and I didn't have to carry all the equipment up and downs the steps which made it less tiring. It was baking hot though in the midday sun so my mouth felt like a desert by the end of the session .

Tomorrow I'm going to be in school all day so I'll need to get my clean clothes out tonight and put them in a carrier bag in the bathroom, ready for my shower when I get home tomorrow. I also keep a second carrier bag in the washing basket to put my dirty school clothes in. It's a nusiance having to plan ahead like this and wipe down my bag, door handles etc, with antibacterial wipes when I get home, but if it stops me bringing infection home then it's worth it. I managed to keep my distance from all the staff but it was less easy with the children! I'll also need to make my packed lunch tonight as I won't get time in the morning. I'm going to take three flasks of tea with me as we're being discouraged from touching things in the staffroom.
