pennywisepoundstupid said:Morning HHOD, glad to hear OH eye is starting to feel a bit better, hopefully you will get your walk by the sea soon.
I was all geared up to be starting back in school on Monday, had myself mentally prepared and then received an email yesterday from Head teacher that it now won't be happening as local authority have advised strongly against it and if anything was to happen to child/staff it will fall on the heads of the governors and Head teacher, so back to just key worker children being allowed to go in and whether we open in a few weeks to more children or in September is a complete mystery.

I was hoping to have it done this weekend so I will just have to see how I feel. I am glad to hear your DHs eye appears to be improving too, hopefully you will get your stroll by the sea in the not too distant future
As for schools going back I'm starting to wonder if it's a good ides myself now that some top scientific advisers have broke ranks and advised against it, I know if my DD were still at school they wouldn't be going in now. I'm beginning to think that our government are not being entirely honest with us now and are thinking more about the economy than peoples lives. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to try it and see what happens 😟 the upside to the latest news is that maybe less children than expected will actually go back which will make your job a little easier 😊.

Hope you managed to get a sea breeze - I’d love to be by the sea 🌊🌊 dd has posted me piccys of my gks in the sea near to them. She said the main sea front and town were heaving but they venture a bit further along away from the day trippers.I agree with you Onebrokenlady on your last couple of posts. 👍👍

Well as you can see I'm not at school this morning. One of the part-time teaching assistants wants to be full-time again and I may have misunderstood the phone conversation I had about TA cover. Anyway I'm still needed to do TA cover for the other person all day on Tuesday and Thursday and will do my lunchtime job every day. It will be less money but it will lessen my exposure to the virus I suppose 🤔.
I'm feeling tired as I got up at 6.30am to go to an 8am staff meeting about new safety measures and routines 😣. It's all going to be very strange is all I can say. I estimate about half of eligible children will turn up, but that's only a guess as I haven't been told numbers yet. When I do the TA cover I'm going to be supporting key workers' children and will look after the same children at lunchtime so that's good for consistency.
It's baking hot today and I'm flagging already, so I'm going to be like a limp lettuce by the time I get home from my lunchtime job 😕. It's forecast to be 23 degrees today and tomorrow . I'll be glad when it cools down a bit as it's too hot for me at the moment ☀️.
I hope everyone has a good Monday whatever you may be doing 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

This is the last time I'll take up valuable space on your diary, HH, (audible sighs of relief reaching me from all directions). I don't just want to disappear though without sending my genuinely heartfelt best wishes to you and your family, both immediate and extended, for a speedy upturn in all your fortunes both health or financial. I also hope you find a permanent job very soon too and that it will bring you a lot of happiness and fulfilment. Take care of yourself xxx
Finally, I hope you'll forgive me for adding a little 'thank you' message here as it might be the place where the people concerned will spot it. I've been overwhelmed and not a little teary this past few days by the 15 (yes, 15!) private messages from other posters telling me they enjoy reading my posts and feel I'm a fair and 'nice' person and not offensive at all. Some even said I seem like the type of person they'd be happy to know in real life. I don't know where most of these people 'know' me from, they don't always post themselves but obviously read diaries including yours, HH. To all of them I just want to say a massive 'thank you'. You'll never know how much it meant to me for you to take the time and trouble to send those kind and supportive messages. Bless you all xxxxx. I'm closing my MSE forum account today and won't receive or be able to read any further PMs so needed to thank people now or I'd miss the chance..

I thought the point of a forum was for people to express a different point of view without being humiliated or upset. None of us `know` each other and unless a post is unkind, it really should not provoke this level of unpleasantness.
We are all trying to survive during Covid and I`m shocked that people should write posts ` agreeing with another poster repeating these criticisms. It simply isn`t called for nor is it kind. We`re all frail and vulnerable under this horrible virus so please be mindful of it when posting.4 -
