How kind and thoughtful of your DS to buy the coffee maker.
Glad you are keeping any PB wins as treats
Thank you bothmilann said:Your son has surpassed himself. Well done Hairy’s son. We have an nespresso but I’m sorry I didn’t get a tassimo. My friend has one and you can buy hot chocolate for them (I don’t like them but dh would) and she gets the Aldi coffee pods which are much cheaper and are lovely - I’ve had them when I visit. Enjoy - I’d be tempted to treat yourself with one more often than a weekend treat - a shame to waste a lovely machine 😜
it’s good they’ve started treating you BIL already 👏👏👏
......and well done on the assignments.

It's Delichon that won on the PBs @doingitanyway
What does a nespresso machine do @milann I don't know much about coffee machines but it is a lovely thing to have and very simple to use and clean. And yes it does do hot chocolate too

A nespresso is just a different make of coffee machine. A gift to us but when I’ve looked at different, cheaper pods in the shops they’re compatible with tassimo but I haven’t found any you can use with mine - other than the branded ones.
January spends - £587.585 -
Cant believe Mr S is the cheapest of the big 4!!
Only a S's where I live sadly.

It was a few weeks ago, beanielou. It was a legitimate survey, I heard about it on BBC Breakfast and then saw a mention of it in the Daily Mail! I think Asda used to be considered the cheapest of the 4 but at the time of the survey and for that particular 'basket' they were beaten by Sainsburys. They're all at it at the moment though as I saw a TV ad this week where Tesco are saying they are cheaper than Aldi. I think the situation changes by the day. What I have noticed though is that Sainsburys have stopped all the voucher codes that used to appear in my online account most weeks. The good old days of BOGOF and 3 for 2 at all the supermarkets are long gone. They know we're all desperate and will buy whatever's available. They don't need to bribe us to shop with them any more do they?beanielou said:Cant believe Mr S is the cheapest of the big 4!!
