Sorry to hear about your B-i-L, HHoD.
Nice that you got your pots done. We do have slug & snail problems here, but our garden is so busy with birds atm, esp blackbirds feeding hungry chicks, that all their foraging reduces the mollusc population significantly. The worst pest here is sparrows! I love all our little sparrows but they can decimate veg if not netted. They also vandalise primulas by pecking off buds & flowers for no reason. They don't eat them, they just shred them & spit the bits out.

I’m sorry to hear about your BIL Hairy. I’m pleased he’s going home to the comfort of his own house. Can’t be much fun in hospital at the moment when no visitors are allowed in.
Your gardening afternoon sounds lovely - that’s my plan for tomorrow afternoon after I’ve done my work at home. I’m actually in school on Thursday - we are expecting 14 children and will have 6 staff (I think) we cover lunchtimes and breaks between us.

Thanks everyone 🙂.
I felt a bit low yesterday. It was cloudy and spotting with rain all day so we decided we wouldn't enjoy a walk. We were invited to a zoom quiz by DH's brother but couldn't face it. DH and I both just sat around all day watching tv or reading. DH was tired and I felt upset about BIL being so seriously ill ☹. So I achieved absolutely nothing yesterday, but maybe I needed a quiet day.
I still feel very subdued and a bit miserable today ☹. But DH had agreed to go for a walk first thing, so we went to the park at about 8.30 and had a walk. Then when we got back I went out again for a more brisk walk. As I wasn't out for more than an hour in total and having spent many days not leaving the house at all, I don't feel guilty for going for two walks.
When I got back I put a wash on and sorted out some rubbish bags. Then I decided to tackle the cooker hood and kitchen cupboards next to it. The cooker hood was greasy with dust sticking to the dirt, especially at the sides. So I used a lot of elbow grease and Cif and it looks better, but it's still a brownish colour instead of silver so I need to have a few more goes at it. Next I tackled the sides of the cupboards which were in a similar state and they've come up beautifully clean. I did the fronts of the cupboards too and the glass splashback behind the cooker and the whole area looks much cleaner. I feel really tired now though.
I forgot to do the underside of the cooker hood but my arms are aching now. I'd also like to clean the outside of the wall cupboards on the other side of the kitchen and the outside of all the floor cupboards. But that can wait until later in the week as I'm done for today and tomorrow and the next day I want to do another college assignment. Tomorrow I also need to do a recording for school first thing and send it off. The deadline is Friday but I want to get it over with otherwise it will be hanging over me all week.
Sorry for a bit of a moany post but I'm feeling very upset about BIL and how devastated my sister is about it. Also I like BIL as he's a really lovely person and doesn't deserve this ☹.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I'm not surprised you feel so upset. Take it easy yourself and give yourself time to process it. It can drain you so much emotionally when you feel upset about something.
