I spoke to my sister last night and it's not good news for BIL ☹. He definitely has lung cancer that has spread to his bones. The doctors gave the impression that there wasn't much hope and my sister doesn't know how long he's got but she thinks it may only be months ☹. He smoked for 38 years but gave up five years ago. But they're going to give him his treatment plan by video link after the weekend so maybe a miracle will happen and he'll respond well to treatment. Anyway he's coming home from hospital today so my sister is delighted to have him home. His pain is being managed well which means he's brighter and more talkative. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I went to Mr M again today because I forgot a few items yesterday 🙄 and we're also running low on quite a few things. I thought it would be very busy on a Saturday at 9.30am but there was no queue and I walked straight in 🙂. It wasn't too busy around the aisles either, so I actually think it was busier yesterday. I spent £36 but got battered fish, chicken steaks, 8 pints of skimmed milk, frozen mixed veg, frozen wonky berries, chips, chicken for sandwiches, pizza, honey, margarine, 15 eggs, 2 x satsumas, 2 x wonky grapes, crusty rolls, wraps, broccoli for DS2, 4 x Magnum icecreams, a chocolate bar, chocolate fudge cake, shaving cream and 2 x baby wipes. So I got quite a lot of stuff. A bit of comfort food was purchased due to the bad news about BIL ☹.
It's a lovely sunny day today so I have gardening planned. I want to repot a palm into a bigger pot as it's looking a bit top heavy 🌿. I also have four geranium plants and six plug pansies to put in pots 🌺🏵🌸. I like geraniums and pansies because our prolific and ravenous slug population don't seem to like them. I bought some primulas last spring and they only flowered once because the slugs munched through them every time a new flower bud appeared 😡 so I'm never buying those again. Our slug population is very prolific in Devon due to our temperate climate not killing them off in cold winters 🐌 (I know that's a snail but I don't have a slug emojie and we have lots of snails too that eat our plants 😡).
I hope everyone has a good Saturday 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I'm sorry to hear about BIL. Hoping the treatment does help and he responds well to it.
