The last I heard from the hospital is that BIL has more growths on his spine and a high temperature
. They think the temperature is due to some medication they gave him but they've tested him for Covid-19 just in case
. We're still waiting for the test results.
I've kept busy today anyway. In addition to my forty minute park walk I've washed some clothes and hung them up to dry, tidied the vestibule, hoovered it and cleaned some muddy shoes that have been sitting there for weeks and put them in the cupboard where they belong. While I had the hoover out I did the hall carpet too. Then I emptied the kitchen bins and put the dishwasher on. Finally I rescued a lovely victorian toilet roll holder from the outdoor toilet in mum's old house ages ago, so I gave that a good scrub with an old nail brush and some washing up liquid and it looks very clean now. When it's dry (and when he gets around to it) DH will use polish the brass bits and put wood oil on the wooden bit. Then we'll have a beautiful antique toilet roll holder to put in our new toilet (when we get one. I like to plan ahead!)
I feel really tired now so I'm going to read my book until shower and cooking time.
I've just had some good news from my sister. BIL does not have Covid-19. That's a relief and the first good news we've had about him! They just need to keep him in hospital until his temperature drops and they've done the radiotherapy on his hip, so probably another couple of days. But at least he's in good hands and being well looked after.

Bonkers weather here too, April showers were well named. We've had a few rumbles of thunder too but so far no lightning or any really torrential rain. There was a beautiful double rainbow just after lunchtime. I haven't seen one of them for a very long time. There are still lots of things to be thankful for even in theses troubled times.5

Well done on your assignment and all the exercise!
Glad BIL doesn't have Covid."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Good news about the Covid. Keeping him in will also help support him if he is in pain and might help with treatment too.

Good news about BIL not having the virus. Sad news about his other health news though. I had a moment though when you’d mentioned a growth in his hip as that’s what the consultant thought I had back in January - luckily the complete body scan in my case had a better outcome than your BIL. I think he is in the right place whilst they get his temperature and pain under control.Well done getting your course work completed. Just out of interest do they sign in your school at all. Our working from home has been about Makaton this week, which my team use at work - but trying to get some of the other staff on board is a struggle.January spends - £587.583

One good thing is he doesn’t have the virus. That’s the last thing he needs on top of everything else. Glad he’s being well looked after, fingers crossed he gets sorted soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

. One of the teachers has a deaf child and signs the lunch choices to her class. But I'm not aware of any other teachers at school using it and I'm not aware of any deaf children at our school. I've heard of Makaton but only because of my course because I had to write an assignment on speech and language difficulties in children. Of course I don't know everything so someone may do it.
