They reckoned letting the Cheltenham races go ahead caused a lot of cases. As for Piers I like the way he says what he thinks, he’s not always politically correct but he speaks his mind. I don’t always agree with him but he often has a point. I like people who call a spade a spade and don’t faff about trying to make everything pink and fluffy.Sounds like you picked a good time to go shopping 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Nicnak said:I'm not a piers fan either, but have watched his interviews with MPs and glad he's asking them questions and holding them to account. He's sometimes rude and I don't agree with that. He's asking questions though on PPE and care homes deaths and asking about why they're not bring recorded. He also said he'd pay any parking fine given to an NHS worker in this crisis.
He also called out Victoria Beckham for furloughing her workers when she didn't need to. Normally, I switch him off but actually watching him fight for the worker at the minute.
Hope you're ok, Hairy xFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Piers is definitely a Marmite character, even among the posters on here! I admire his forthright way off getting to the heart of important issues and relentlessly taking MPs and so on to task. He's like a Rottweiler LOL but I find his aggressive and dominant personality a bit 'too much' in lots of circumstances. It's all 'him' and sometimes poor Susannah (who can fight her corner when needed!) can't get a word in. He seems to think it's just the Piers Morgan show. I also found his 'friendship' with Donald Trump very nauseating, especially that long interview he did with him on Air Force One months ago. Seems he may have changed his tune a bit there though as he was pretty scathing yesterday about Trump's crazy disinfectant comments. I haven't seen the morning show for months and had no idea about the Victoria Beckham issue. I totally agree with you on that, Nicnak. How very dare she? Although the Beckhams are loaded her fashion business is always losing millions and is only kept afloat by David's money. Not sure whether she took that into account when deciding to furlough her staff.5

I’m sorry to hear the news about your BIL. It must make it worse them being so far away.
Enjoy the next couple of weeks off work.January spends - £587.585 -
I hope your BIL gets some treatment HH. Is this your sister in Scotland's husband ?Had your mums house sold now or did you say it had halted owing to the virus ? I have been asked to help sort out my ex MIL stuff now she had passed away, when we can safely go after the lockdown. I don't know how I feel about that. FIL May have to go in a nursing home .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

They were still at the hospital at 6pm and I'm waiting for news. My sister had to get him an oramorph prescription yesterday from the GP for his pain. I'm very worried about them both
.
The buyer of my mum's house pulled out because of the virus two weeks before completion. I'm not sure whether I'm pleased or sorry.
It's very upsetting sorting through someone's belongings, but if you were close to them it can bring a bit of closure I think. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
