We have a church next door, mostly quiet but the bells do get to you sometimes especially if they forget to turn them off at night which does not help my insomnia at all.
Also on the secondary flight path, and close to M way so really noticing the silence, its like Christmas day!
Totally agree with you about the value of being outside, I will be sad if it gets stopped due to the non compliant minority. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

It would be awful to be confined to the house and garden
. I really hope that doesn't happen or I'd have to go out every day on the pretext of buying food or medicine, but I would miss seeing nature in the park. I'm very good at giving people a wide berth (unlike certain others) so I wouldn't do any harm.

You at least have a plan and great news that DH is eligible for some money, albeit June. x. Yes the price of water in Devon is scandalous 😡😭 and with 4-5 adults in the house a meter wouldn't be any cheaper for us, plus we'd be scared to use water.

We've been told to put recycling in our main waste bin in the interim.

We have a young couple next door on one side - they have spent the last couple of years knocking down and rebuilding every wall in the house (or that’s what it feels like). But it’s stopped now 👍 The other side is a family with a teenager and tweenager - it’s a constant kicking of a football - he had just started to go out to the local park giving us a bit of respite from the ball coming over every 5 minutes.....now poor lad is confined to the garden again.....so our garden isn’t particularly peaceful either. I do love the model train track we have though. I’m wanting to be doing a bit to that over the summer.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945

The park you went to looks lovely and there's plenty of space to avoid other people so hopefully you will be able to keep going, I would really miss not being able to just go for a walk and don't know what B would be like because she doesn't like going to the toilet in the gardenOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944

Hi HHD
Just catching up on diaryland. Hope you are keeping safe in these strange times. M4 -
Hope everyone is well and coping. Lovely and sunny here but so cold again! Very high winds during the night. it's often windy in this rural spot but not often as bad as last night. Even with the old double glazing (most of which still blocks out the sound) I could still hear things blowing about. Been out first light to help DH secure the roof of the summerhouse which had partly blown off. I think I'll count that as my exercise for today LOL, don't fancy venturing out again. Lots of twigs and even small branches all over the grass. I got up at 2 to make us a cup of tea only to find there was a power cut. No idea when it started but it didn't come back on until about 4.30. We get a lot of power cuts out here and I hope the wonderful engineers who have to go out in all weathers to keep supplies going are managing to cope and stay well.
I noticed your reasons for the exorbitant water bills, HHOD, and your broadband/phone but did I read it correctly that your nPower bill is £45 A WEEK??? I know DH works from home as do your sons (I think) but things like computers, lights etc don't use all that much electricity and you keep the tumble dryer usage down to a minimum. Are you sure you're on the best tariff? I don't think nPower features among many people's supplier of choice either.
Enjoy your day (as much as is possible in the circumstances) xxx6 -
Your diary is fast moving so I missed that you will get financial support as a S/E person. Pleased to hear that. So many people are worried about the recession on its way and I understand that but the priority just now is keeping yourself healthy and well. You are doing so well.
Well done on keeping active and productive. Having a garden is such a bonus when we are so housebound.
Enjoy your Sunday. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
