Sun_Addict said:I was too slow on the uptake with the disposable gloves thing but wear my normal gloves then put them in the washing machine when I get back in. I did consider wearing my yellow washing up gloves but thought it might attract too much attention 🤣 I don't change my clothes when I get in but at the moment I'm not leaving the house much, only been out twice in the past 10 days. I've had to keep crossing the road to avoid people coming straight towards me. It appears to be the elderly round my way who just don't get it.
The jogger was a young woman, but the two men I had to avoid were elderly. It was quite busy near the school, so crossing the road would have made matters worse 😱, which is why I swerved into the road. Luckily there is less traffic about at the moment. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I found a pack of anti-back floor cleaning cloths in my cupboard - been there years - I think I won them once in a cleaning hamper....I put them in my car and took one out with me to wipe the handle of the trolley before I took it. I hadn’t thought of gloves until I saw somebody in the shop - so I put my gloves on which were in my pocket. Strange times but we need to do what we can....January spends - £587.584

. I do think gloves are a good idea as multiple people could be touching all the items and putting them back or moving them aside to reach something and the virus does live on surfaces for a while. Then you can wash the gloves before you use them again.

I hope nobody thinks I'm being selfish but we managed to get an online delivery slot for Mr T today 🎉. The trouble is I'm already risking myself at school and going into shops frequently is increasing my viral overload. DH has diabetes and the other three people in the house have asthma (including me). There are four adults (three men) in my house and milk, bread and toilet rolls don't last long, so if I can only buy one carton of milk and one loaf of bread I'll be going to the food shop every other day. We have the same food quotas as a one person household and there are four of us.
DS1 was playing around on his phone drooling over easter eggs on the Mr T website and he noticed some delivery slots were available. He quickly booked a slot and by the time he went upstairs to tell DH, all the other slots had gone 😳. This delivery should last us at least a week and will mean I won't have to risk myself (and the others) by going into shops during that time.
I've pulled a muscle in my side at school and it hurts even when I sit down, so I've taken some ibuprofen 😟. I'd better be more careful what I do tomorrow. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
