I've had some lovely news and some worrying news today.

The lovely news is that one of my nieces had a dear little baby girl yesterday and mother and baby are doing well 🎉🎉🎉. She was ten days late!

The worrying news is that a different niece had had a cough for a week and been self-isolating, but today she had trouble breathing when she moved 😟. My sister was petrified of course. But my niece saw a doctor in ppe who said her temperature, oxygen levels and lungs are all good. She's been prescribed steroids and an inhaler. She must have the virus but hopefully she'll recover. She's in her early thirties and normally very healthy. So that's brought it very close to home 😔.

Gosh, 10 days late - quite a wait, I bet she was glad to deliver !

With all good wishes for a good recovery for your niece: it must indeed be worrying, but to eventually be in the position of having recovered and be then safe would also be a good thing.

Thanks Elizbeth . It's lovely news, but an awful time to have a baby in a way because no family can visit and hold the baby.

Yes it's such worrying news, but as you say when she recovers (I do hope she will) then she should have some immunity to it.

Good news about one niece but bad about the other. Hope she recovers quickly. I think at the moment we will wonder if any cough or breathing related problems are the dreaded C-19.

Evening HHD Lovely news about your niece having her baby and I really hope your other niece starts to recover quickly now she's been given the medication she needs. xx

Oh HH lovely news about the new baby but yes - a difficult time for it as well. One of my best friends and his Mrs have just had their second - what a strange world to be born into! Also good to hear that your other niece now has medication - hopefully she will be on the mend soon, and then they will test to see if that is what she's had.

Thanks all of you . My ill niece seems a bit improved today so hopefully the medication is starting to work.

School was fine today, but it's a bit dull with so few children to look after compared to the normal mayhem. It's a lovely sunny day anyway and we spotted a squirrel in the playground.

I feel completely unmotivated today . I slept badly last night and I know it's because I'm worried about money and whether we'll be able to pay the bills going forward. Today I feel sleepy, sluggish and I can't even motivate myself to make a to do list . I suppose I'm used to being so busy at school and now that I'm only doing lunchtimes (and that only one week in three) I feel at a bit of a loose end. There's plenty of housework and gardening that needs doing, but because of my pulled muscle I can't really do very much physical work. So I'm just sitting around feeling bored and apathetic .

I suppose it's hitting me that I've lost my TA cover so I'm earning less money, but also I loved doing the work and it kept me busy which I like. Now I have much less money and much less to do. I could do housework or gardening but I don't really feel like it and my pulled muscle is stopping me doing things. I feel like I have months ahead with nothing to look forward to. I can't do the job that I love, can't see family, can't go for a nice day out, or even out for coffee . I can't even see the point of doing ironing if I'm not allowed to go anywhere.

I know it's the same for everyone, but I'm having a bad day. I suppose we're bound to have ups and downs with everything that's going on and hopefully I'll feel more cheerful tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a good and safe Wednesday .

It's all the uncertainty, HHoD. I've been in an odd mood today, too & I don't have a cut in hours to worry about like you do. Try not to beat yourself up for feeling down. It is a really weird time at the moment - stressful, worrying & sad. I was glad to hear you niece is a little better. The pulled muscle will heal. It is best not to overdo physical gardening tasks with a badly pulled muscle. You do need to keep it moving though, or it will feel stiff. It's finding a balance, isn't it, then you'll be able to get back to your gardening & it will do you good to be out in the fresh air & feeling productive.

On the bright side you do have DS1 & DS2 at home.
I have no idea when i will see mine & you are in the same boat with DS3.

We're bound to be affected by what's going on. I'm used to being so busy that's the trouble and all this time at home is making feel restless but I feel too tired to do houswork or gardening. I expect next week will be better.
