Onebrokenlady our train track has been ongoing since 2006 - we’d had building work done on the house and needed to do something in the garden. About the same time Dh had watched a programme on TV and our local garden centre built a small one - which we’d watched with interest. Dh spotted a load of track second hand - and we’ve added to it over the years. The buildings have been bought for birthday and Christmas presents and we collect little toy figures too. A couple of years ago we bought a load of fairy buildings - fairies and unicorns which the gks love. I tend to do the gardening which is mainly alpines and small bushes and dh does the rest. It’s a bit like the Forth Bridge - never finished and the buildings and people need repainting from time to time. But it’s very relaxing and something we enjoy doing together. Then in normal times there is a club and we visit other gardens and get to know the people - it’s not a geeky as it sounds - honest 😂😂
Sorry HHD I’ve taken over your diary a tad 😊Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've had some lovely news and some worrying news today.
The lovely news is that one of my nieces had a dear little baby girl yesterday and mother and baby are doing well 🎉🎉🎉. She was ten days late!
The worrying news is that a different niece had had a cough for a week and been self-isolating, but today she had trouble breathing when she moved 😟. My sister was petrified of course. But my niece saw a doctor in ppe who said her temperature, oxygen levels and lungs are all good. She's been prescribed steroids and an inhaler. She must have the virus but hopefully she'll recover. She's in her early thirties and normally very healthy. So that's brought it very close to home 😔.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

It sounds as if you’ve had a day of mixed emotions. I wish your nieces well.I think you are wise shopping when you can. A family of 4 adults will need more than a single person or couple.Take care with your pulled muscles.Onebroken lady - it’s a lovely hobby - a model village would be brilliant. I’m going to make a miniature Japanese garden - I bought some tiny ornaments for less than a fiver last year - just need to do something with them when the weather warms up a bit. I’ll try and post a piccy on my diary when I do......January spends - £587.587

Lovely day, and also a worrying one. Take care Hairy. Hope the children are ok in school and understanding about distancing. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Thanks Nicak
. Yes the children are very sensible and seem to get it. I have to remind them sometimes when they get excited. I told them to imagine their dad was lying on the floor between them, so they can visualise a safe distance 🤣.

Glad yours are good at the distance. It is hard for them to get their heads round it all. x

With all good wishes for a good recovery for your niece: it must indeed be worrying, but to eventually be in the position of having recovered and be then safe would also be a good thing.
