Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Morning HHD
I don't think you're being selfish. You're right about the maximum items though. 80 is quite a lot but it goes much further for one person than it does for 4. My last delivery slot is this week and then hubby and DD will have to go out. Some of these methods seem counterproductive to me. I get they want to limit what people are buying but as you say if we have to go out every day or even every other day for milk and bread we're putting ourselves at even more risk of picking something up and bringing it back to the home. The sooner we get a Minister for Common Sense the better.
Have a great day and hope you muscle pain eases. xx

. Oh a Minister For Common Sense would be such a refreshing change, but I doubt if we'll ever have one 🤣.
I read today that some shops are easing restrictions which must mean they've got more produce on the shelves, so that's a good sign.

School was fine today. It feels a bit strange and eerie because it's so quiet and only part of the building is being used. The children seem to be enjoying being at school and are doing learning in the morning and crafty fun type activities in the afternoon. They've been doing the Joe W!cks workout every morning too
. It's a lovely sunny day 🌞☁️ with blue sky and fluffy white clouds so it was pleasant outside, but I did need to wrap up warm as it's a cold day. In the school garden the daffodils have gone over, but I saw primroses and bluebells growing 🌻🥀.
My side is still painful and it hurt to get out of bed this morning, but it's a bit better now. I was very careful about what I did at school. DH gave me a lift there and back so I could rest it.
Our Mr T delivery came today 🎉🎉🎉. Most of what we ordered came 🎉, apart from semi-skimmed milk, tinned tomatoes and granary bread. There were no antibacterial wipes available to order, but we did manage to buy paracetamol for the first time in two weeks and we got skimmed milk. I'm saving the paracetamol for in case any of us catch the virus. So we should be able to avoid the food shops for a week which is good.
I hope everyone is having a good and safe Tuesday.

We managed to get loo roll, a bag of bread flour & a few other tricky bits last week, so I think it could be that supply chains are catching up with demands. I honestly don't think panic buying would have got so bad if the News every night hadn't shown all those pictures of empty shelves.
Good idea to save the paracetamol in case of poorliness. We made sure we'd got the usual flu-helping arsenal of products in our medicine box. It was a case of trying to prepare where we could.
Glad you got most of your shopping.

P. S Sorry to hear your side is still painful. It took over a week for my shoulder & neck muscles to get back to normal & several hot water bottles. It's surprising how painful a pulled muscle can be, I always think.

Onebrokenlady our train track has been ongoing since 2006 - we’d had building work done on the house and needed to do something in the garden. About the same time Dh had watched a programme on TV and our local garden centre built a small one - which we’d watched with interest. Dh spotted a load of track second hand - and we’ve added to it over the years. The buildings have been bought for birthday and Christmas presents and we collect little toy figures too. A couple of years ago we bought a load of fairy buildings - fairies and unicorns which the gks love. I tend to do the gardening which is mainly alpines and small bushes and dh does the rest. It’s a bit like the Forth Bridge - never finished and the buildings and people need repainting from time to time. But it’s very relaxing and something we enjoy doing together. Then in normal times there is a club and we visit other gardens and get to know the people - it’s not a geeky as it sounds - honest 😂😂
Sorry HHD I’ve taken over your diary a tad 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -

F x. Yes hopefully the supply chains are catching up finally, or the buying limits have paid off. I agree about the news.
I haven't pulled a muscle for years as I'm normally quite careful. That will teach me!Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
