  • We are on the flight path to East Midlands Airport so the skies are rather quiet at the moment.

HH I might be classed as a neighbour with a dog that barks a lot 😱
    Oops 😂🤣.

  • Happy belated birthday Hairy!🎂🎂🎂.   Your day sounded really nice with your family around you.
My walls in my flat don't back onto neighbours but a young  girl in her twenties lives in the flat above me and likes her music!  I find it's the bass thumping that I can hear. I had a word with her the other week and she turned it down but the walls are thin!  We're both now working from home and I have found if I put on Magic radio in the living room it drowns it. I seem to work quite well with it on too!😁
Thanks SSG :). We'll all need to be very tolerant with our neighbours during lockdown.

I celebrated being out of quarantine with a walk in the park today 🌳. It was lovely to get some fresh air and see evidence that the world is still out there. When I got into the park the main path had several people on it so I took a more minor path which was empty, although I had to swerve onto the grass to avoid a jogger 🏃‍♀️. It was easy to avoid people if you walked on the grass, as I did, but the paths were quite busy and I saw two familes pass each other on the path with only a couple of feet to spare 😱. I stayed about twenty to thirty feet away from people by cutting across the grass and zigzagging around. I really enjoyed my walk and seeing the trees in blossom, it felt very springlike 🏵. I hope they don't stop us going out for exercise as my park walk made me feel really cheerful and uplifted 😎.

On my walk I saw some rainbow pictures and teddies in people's windows which looked nice .

After lunch I decided to crack on with the weeding and spent all afternoon on it. I weeded half of the wall and it looks much better, plus I weeded a couple more pots. There's lots more weeding to do as I need to finish the wall, weed three borders and finish weeding the pots, but I'm making progress 😀. Once the weeding is finished I can think about acquiring some flowers and making my pots look colourful, plus there's a few plants that need re-potting into bigger pots. I also need to give the whole garden a good sweep and hose down the paths too.

I enjoyed sitting on my garden bench for short rests inbetween weeding and relaxing. It was much quieter today out there. It was a bit colder so our noisy neighbours were indoors, apart from coming out to hang out washing.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday and keeping safe :).
