I had a good day at school today. The weather was competely bonkers though! Sunny all morning and then heavy rain for the first part of lunchtime and then sunshine again and then heavy rain for the last ten minutes of lunchtime 🌞🌧🌞🌧. There was a freezing cold wind too 🌬 so I was glad to get indoors. I still haven't warmed up from walking home.
My cold has finally gone though thank goodness. I defnitely need to go to bed earlier though as I feel sleepy and didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I'm skipping Pilates again as I'm too tired and can't face going out into the cold wind again.
I hope everyone has had a good Monday.

Bonkers weather here too, HHoD. Forecast said a few rain or hail showers. It was bright & dry this morning, then snowed all afternoon! I was quite cosy in the kitchen this afternoon though, batch cooking chicken chilli & baking bread.

What strange weather we're all having! A cosy kitchen sounds nicer than being out in the snow Foxgloves

I was travelling home from Leicester Sunday pm - if I hadn't been on jury service today we'd have come home later.
There was torrential rain.
There was rain coming at us sideways.
There was spray from oncoming lorries that completely obliterated the windscreen (and 2 seconds is a LOOONG time when driving).
There was spray from lorries we followed that flew up the total height of the lorry.
A good two thirds of the journey was quite scary !!4 -

How was jury service? I've never been asked to do it, but I'm sure my time will come. I don't know if I'd be pleased or horrified if I got asked to do it 🙄.

Well we had bonkers weather again today. It was sunny all morning 🌞 and then the children came in from break five minutes early soaking wet 🌧. Then it was sunny again 🌞. Then it hailed for 15 minutes in the middle of lunchtime 🌨. There was a freezing cold wind too; I was trying to turn a skipping rope in the playground for the children and the wind was blowing it all over the place 🌬🤣.
I'm home now and trying to warm up. It always feels cold at home compared to school. I think the only place hotter than school would be a sauna 🤣.
I've empied the kitchen bins in a brief respite between hail showers and now I'm sitting under a blanket trying to get warm. I should put on a wash but I feel too tired to move.
I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday so far.

@elizabethhull my bit of leics was grim on Sunday so I don't envy you that trip at all
@HairyHandofDartmoor my DS was saying earlier the problem is that school is red hot, the issue is when he goes outside and the cold hits him. He says they should turn the heating off at 2.30 🤣My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Hi HHD
We seem to be working through all 4 seasons in a day where we are although no snow as yet, which is really disappointing for DS as he's desperate for a snow day. Bet we get it at the weekend when he can stay home anyway.
Are you still enjoying covering the TA position and do you know how much longer you'll be needed or is it a weekly decision? Glad that your cold has gone, hope it stays away. Have a good day. xx

. We rarely get snow here so no snow days for us.
I am really enjoying the TA work. I think it's a weekly decision really. I presume that I'll be doing it after half term if they don't say otherwise on the day we break up.
