Occasionally I have to pass my mum’s old house and it feels weird to see it and think probably more than one family will have lived there since.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I think I'm quite lucky that my parents have moved twice since I left home, no attachment whatsoever. Love the sound of the blue bowl and daffodils. My white hyacinths are pink which annoyed me 🤣My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I'm attached to the house because they lived there for over 30 years. My children grew up playing in the garden and we had many lovely family get togethers there over the years. So many happy memories in that house and garden. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

@greenbee, generally they are heat treated to grow early so the standard advice is that you let them die down and the bulbs take some food in before you plant them outside. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I was given blue hyacinths for Christmas - in a very pretty wooden box which leaks when you water it - they're over now, I've cut the flowers off but the leaves are still going. What do I do next?
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

It is strange to see an empty house or other people living there,I remember when my sister died and my brother in law sold their house, the thought of not going there ever again just about killed me,I was very close to my sister and her house had only happy memories for me, for instance I remember being there when I found out i was pregnant for DD2 😊 plus all the family get togethers, I think I will find it strange when my parents are no longer at their house but I don't have an emotional attachment to that house because it holds too many bad memories for me and I couldn't wait to leaves I don't think I will feel upset as such
