Oh dear I have cocodomal on repeat.
Along with lots of things.
The joys of having a life long condition & chronic pain & muscles that often dont play the game.
It's all about balance & being able to function.
I think those of us who take medication on a regular basis know how to deal with it, when to take what & whether to drive.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I'm sure you see your GP or a nurse regularly though and you have a condition that obviously warrants needing your medication on a repeat basis. If it's needed it's needed and should be given. xx0 -
Great news on the TA cover!:j The pay will certainly come in handy.
I'm pleased to read too that you're going to involve the boys more with the chores. It will help you out enormously if you are going to be taking on more work. And it will do them good to help around the house - training for when they fly the nest!
Hope you're feeling better this evening.

Whoo! Great news on all that extra cover, HHoD. And very well deserved, too.

Congratulations on the extra work that is amazing news.
I had co-codomol once. I passed out on the sofa in a state of consciousness and couldn't get up. Never had them again.
Glad you are feeling a little better and hope you sleep better too. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

That's right, beanie - and being in pain all the time is no fun !
I'm lucky that I'm down from 4 Tramadol a day to one in the morning with Paracetamol, and that seems to work for me now I have my lovely new hip !!
I find any codeine-based drugs send me to sleep, but not oral morphine - strange.
HH: it's such good news about the TA cover, your bank balance will love it too.:T:T
As for getting the DC to help out, everyone has a different regime that works for them. Sometimes, as someone suggested, having the jobs written up on a sheet can help others to see what needs to be done. There's no accounting for adults just not seeing jobs, even when they're done often (like bin emptying) !0 -

I wouldn't worry about it beanielou,I take codeine phosphate which are 30mgs of codeine and are only available with a prescription,I use them for chronic pain ( Fibromyalgia) and I have to take two sometimes three times a day when I'm really bad,I've had them on repeat since I was diagnosed 16 years ago, they are highly addictive so I do try to have breaks from them if I'm feeling well,I can go for weeks at a time and not need them or have to take them everyday depending on how I feel I also have to be careful with them because last year I had an episode of headaches for about three months which turned out to be caused by overuse of codeine, since then I've tried to be very careful with them
Like you say if you are on these meds long term you tend to know the best way to use them and why your limitations are going to be,I know if I'm at work I can only take one 30mg codeine because if I take two I feel so sick I have to lie down,I also take paracetamol and brufen alongside them if I'm having a bad day, thankfully lately it hasn't been bad enough to need to do thatOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940 -

It's weird how different people react to different meds isn't it,I'm the opposite of you,I can take codeine but Tramadol made me so ill I couldn't go to work, it definitely got rid of the pain but I was so incapacitated I couldn't function,I just shook uncontrollably and felt really sickOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940
