  • Thanks Sunshine :). We should be collecting DS3 not this weekend but next weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing him again.

I bet you are:). I'm sure that however much he's enjoying being independent, having lots of new experiences and hopefully making a good circle of friends he'll be really looking forward to a lovely family Christmas:beer:

Is there any reason why he can't make his own way home this vac? As he has a place in a house he won't have to clear his room and bring everything home will he? It seems a lot of hassle for you and DH especially with you putting in so many hours at work now and DH probably working every minute to get new orders and fulfilling what he already has. If it's still absolutely essential that he needs fetching, do you and DH both need to go? You won't need to clean out his accommodation any more and I'm sure there's loads of Christmas prep you could do at home. Just a thought, forgive me if I'm poking my nose in (again!):o

It sounds as if you are the 'go to' lady. I hope you get something longer term soon. Your son without doubt will be looking forward to a family Christmas. Have a good day.
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

    Emergency fund 3501000
    Buffer fund 0/100

  • You are definitely the go to lady at the school, I'm sure if something more permanent comes up they would be falling over themselves to employ you, you've proved your worth over and over again

We have to put up the decorations on our ward soon, one of my work colleagues always does it and to be honest she is a complete control freak so the rest of us don't get a look in ,she has hurt her back though so I think we will all be doing it this year,I love it when the work decorations go up,we also wear scrubs with pictures on on our ward so I can get my Father Christmas one out soon :j

Thanks OBL :). It's good that the rest of you can get in on the decorating this year. I wonder why some people are such control freaks.

It's because DS3 needs his big computer and monitor to do his coursework as he is doing a computer related course and he can't afford to duplicate the set up at home. We're going to ask him to contribute to the petrol money this time. I want to go as it's a long and lonely drive for DH on his own with no one to talk to, plus I get to spend six hours with DS3 on the drive back.

Thanks TF2 :). No sadly I wasn't needed because the sick TA came back today! So I just volunteered, did my lunchtime job and came home.

  • I feel tired but pleased with myself today :).

I wasn't needed for TA cover as the sick person came back today :(. So I volunteered in my usual class in the morning and did my lunch time job after that.

Then this afternoon I spent three and a half hours on my assignment . It's still not finished believe it or not, but I think another two to three hours should finish it off. I can't believe how long it's taken! But I did a word count today and I'm up to 9,700 words   and it's not finished yet. I'm pleased with myself for putting so much work in on it after a busy and tiring morning and I finally feel like I'm close to finishing it :T.

I'm going to ask DH to iron my trousers for tomorrow as I feel completely shattered now but virtuous :D.

I hope everyone has had a good Wednesday :).

Sorry about the cover today, hopefully you'll be their first contact from now on though. x
