  • Thanks TF2 :). That made me laugh about your DD in the shower :rotfl:. That's even worse than DS3. What on earth does she do in there? :rotfl:

    .

Ermmm, well I daydream on the loo (!!!), do 200 push-ups against the bath, numerous leg exercises (heel raises etc) whilst brushing and flossing my teeth, water the plants, clean the mirror over the sink where DH splashes it, clean the sink (sometimes), clean the loo (sometimes), do balance exercises, and calf stretches, ....
then - less than 3 mins actually under running water for my shower !!

You can see how the time meanders, and I actually try to curtail the daydreaming !!
  • Hi,

I've just caught up. Sorry you are feeling so tired and things seem to be getting on top of you. Being tired is obviously a real catalyst for a lot of things, and I hope things settle for you.

Hoping you can sort something out with your energy supplier. I remember last year you were planning to pay them off when you got your payments. Maybe that is an option? It could help save you money in the long run.

It's a shame DH's work has gone down. Perhaps it is the time of year as well and he will get more over the coming months?

I hope you have a nice Saturday saunter today. x

Regarding the in-shower with water running time - I can figure out the state of my DSs mental health which isn't great at the best of times, by the length of time he spends in the shower. 5 mins really great, 30 mins not so much or oh dear today is not going to be a good day.

:rotfl: Well at least if it doubles up as cleaning and exercise time then you have more excuse :D.

Perhaps being in the shower relaxes and calms your DS. The hot water always relaxes me .

I spend half an hour in total in the bathroom which includes getting dressed, cleaning my teeth, etc, so I probably only run the hot water for ten minutes. I'm just thankful we have a separate toilet!

Thanks Nicnak :). We can't afford to pay them off at the moment without using our EF. But it is a priority to do this.

It could be the time of year or Brexit, but we'll need some work in before Christmas or we'll be in trouble.

  • Well my day hasn't gone according to schedule so far.

I decided to skip my Saturday saunter due to lack of money and heavy wind and rain :(. DH and DS2 had a flu jab scheduled at the doctor so I decided to go with them, do a bit of shopping in Mr T and then drive home together. DH dropped me off but Mr T was shut due to flooding can you believe  and DH didn't notice me running after the car shouting stop! :rotfl:

So I nipped into a bakery instead and had a coffee (£2.75) and got a free croissant for DH and then killed time in a charity shop where it was warm and dry. I bought two plain red pillar candles for £3 and one red glittery pillar candle for £2, which I thought would be nice for Christmas and help to save electricity.

When DH and DS2 came to collect me after their jabs we drove to Mr L and spent £31.12 on 18 pints of milk, a big slab of value cheese, 15 eggs, 2 cheapo pizzas, 2 packs of Linda M burgers, oats, bread flour, 3 x margerine, bananas, satusmas, 3 bars of soap, face wipes, mouthwash and 3 packs of toilet roll. I'm hoping that will last a week now with what we have in the store cupboards and freezer.

The rest of today will be spent doing laundry and relaxing with a book/bit of telly.

I hope everyone else is having less stormy weather than we are in Devon.
