Thanks, is there a letter template anywhere?

At this point you do not need a template

    Simple letter

    Dear Sirs,

Reference your letter dated xxxx regarding your ref number

As registered keeper of the vehicle, I deny there is any debt
    owed to UKCPS.

Please therefore provide me with proof of your claim
and documents you will rely upon in court

Mr Foster, the last sentence in post#9 should read
"I guess they need to have visuals of the driver getting in the car?"

    Edit that post now!
  • Thank you all for your comments

I have been looking on the internet for a few days and you all have helped me more than i expected.

I don't expect you to do anything for me or provide anything at all.

    Just needed a little advice.

    Thanks again

You have a template and all you needed to do was change the PPC's name and remove the irrelevant stuff. We are here to help, come back if you get a claim because we win over 99% of fully-assisted/coached by this forum, defended cases.

  • HI all,

So i sent the letter denying any dept owned and requested they send me any evidence.

I received a letter back but it has not referenced my original letter or provided any evidence as i requested.

The amount they say i owe them has gone down from £150 to £100 for some reason and they've given me another 14 days to reply.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

Nothing, no steps needed as you will know from reading all other IPC or UKCPS threads.

Send it again. I won against Orange with the Ombudsman after they ignored six letters. It amounts to unreasonable behaviour imo.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

So they refuse to provide evidence and still want you to pay.

PAY FOR WHAT ???? ... THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU

A court judge would not be impressed by that. But hey,
if they are to proceed as from 1st Oct, they must now enter
into a conversation with you and prove to a court that they
have attempted all means to resolve this.
Offering discounts does not do this.

Chances now are very high that they will not continue.
If they do, come back here
  • Coupon-mad - thanks for getting back to me so fast. I have gone though pages of threads on here but i can't find anything on if they don't reference my letter or reduce the charge.

None of that is going to be found in a thread (and it's nitty gritty that doesn't mean much - e.g. they never reduce the charge).

As you got a LBCCC first, and we are now past 1st October, adapt the response in Daniel san's thread (no link); it's right here on page one or two, today with the response to a LBCCC being discussed in depth, with assistance from LOC123 who is a solicitor.

Stop looking for over-specific things and concentrate more on the next response going out robustly, to hopefully stop UKCPS proceeding because there are so many hoops they must now jump through.

A poster who has just adapted Daniel san's draft letter to suit their case, is fineanddan, and their thread is also on page one right now. Do what they did!
