Here are my mixes in jars for Xmas...

    IMGP2692.jpg

The one on the left is this recipe... http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2920/christmas-muffin-mix

The one on the right is Twink's hobnob recipe from the OS board plus some cranberries and white chocolate as suggested by Shaz (thanks for the idea :D). The ingredients aren't nice and level but I think they look ok. It doesn't really matter that they aren't perfect as the one on the left is for the OH Xmas Eve box (for us to make the muffins Xmas morning) and the one on the right is for my boys' Xmas Eve box to make cookies for Santa on Xmas Eve. Thought I'd practice on my own family this year with the view that I'd make them for others next year ;)

  • Rainmac that sounds like a delicious idea to me :)

I was wondering about a last minute simple gift whether you could do a jar/box of love or containing a hug (empty jar, pretty label :) ). I'm sure I have seen these in the shops before and wonder if there are any rhymes or tags for something like that?

Perfect! Thanks rainmac. I have lots of wrapping paper, I have some boxes I have no use for. Thought it would be a nice 'extra' gift. I'm thinking of bulking out with the 'gag' gifts like the loo roll with the poem on :)

bunbun, your jar looks fab :T I'm going to use proper Kilner jars if I make some next year. I've used plastic jars for now as my lot are so clumsy ;)
